Online Franchise Mode costs extra???

Excuse me if this has been discussed before but wtf?!? I just booted up my 360 to download Shadow Complex and I see that there is DLC for Madden. There is Online Franchise DLC for $10 (800 points)? Are they fucking serious?

Am I missing something?

I still haven't bought the game because I'm still playing NCAA and I plan on buying it for PS3 anyway. But I'm guessing it's the same price there too.
