    Accelerated Clock

    Anyone like this thingy?

I don't, I think it gives the Defense the advantage when the offense should naturally have it. For instance if you come out in single back formation and you notice your opponent is in a 3-Deep pass heavy Defensive formation, you don't have as much time to change(if u want to) into a 2 back formation and run it up the middle.
Yeah, if you do it smoothly you'll be straight, but I've had times when I'ved pressed one wrong button then I had to reverse what I just pressed and then have to decide if it's worth it to try and still call the audible or if I should just stay with the original play that may not work. Then I have to check the time and see it's at 2 and even if I get the play off, it's basically just a toss up because of all the commotion thats been happening trying to call the play.

I absolutely hate being called for delay of game when time has been taking away from me. Anyone who's played me a couple of times knows that I don't take long to pick a play and then from the pre-snap position I've always had more than enough time to do what I want to.

and "adjusting the sliders" is no option because these games are against actual online opponents, I don't do chises or anything like that.

So much for if it's in the game it's in the game.

ACC has been in madden for a long time. They took it out last year though. I see no problem with it what so ever.

Well online not only can your opponent see your basic formation before you come out but if the D decides to call a major audible then that makes the whole process I mentioned earlier 10x harder.

yeah you can, but the situation may not always be that simple. The formation run audible may suck and in a close heated game you're gonna want a play that you run often and more comfortable with.

How many times are you going to see an offense come out with a passing personnel and then switch to an I-formation because the defense came out in Nickel or Dime personnel? AND have time to do so.

Accelerated clock is an option. Basically it enables longer quarters for the people who want that. If you want to audible like crazy, then dont use it.

NFL teams RARELY make audibles that take longer than the 15 secs that are left once u call your play with accel clock on. Most teams break the huddle with about that amount of time left on the play clock anyway. To me it's more realistic. Even Peyton Manning, who calls a shitload of at the line audibles and fake audibles doesn't take 25 secs to make his calls at the line. Stop tryin to Audible from 4 wide to an I-form and you'll be fine.

I like it but the defense doesn't get realistic stats.

lol using real life situations wont work because this is madden. How many times have you seen an offense RC all up and down the field and score with it?

It's not an option for the modes I play.

once again that's the NFL not Madden. Peyton Manning also doesn't have to worry that 1 or 2 D-linemen by themselves could possibly get past 5 or 6 blockers and sack him. Hey also doesn't have to worry about Nano's or super LB's. Can't compare things like this to the real NFL, especially with all the glitches and dominating schemes/plays that madden has.

Play people off here and you wont have to worry about glitches. And tounry play doesn't have accel clock, so either way you have nothing to cry about.

I play people here and I'm not worried about glitches. I used the glitch scenario to prove that you can't compare what happens in the NFL to what should happen in Madden because Madden has glitches. When MAdden is glitch free then the 2 should be played alike, but until then it's not always right to try and match the 2 together.

I do play people from this site, but I wanted to get into tourney play and at the end of the day rather they mean anything or not, ranked games are good practice. You're gonna get cheesed in tourneys so just playing people from VSN isn't gonna prepare you for that.

Play unranked random scrims on madden, u can set the accel clock to off. Either way prob still solved.

yeah unranked is better but people always quit and usually they aren't playing as serious. I know the only time I play unranked is if I want to test out a new team or couple of plays and I know alot of other people do the same, I had 2 people quit on me last night after I scored my 1st TD.

I know alot of people don't like them but the way I see it, ranked games are the best practice out there.
