the real problem with madden...

is that the developers listen to the wrong people. they dont even really hang outon their own boards, they spend most of their online time over at places like OS and PP getting their knobs polished. they cannot take it when people tell them that this game they have worked so hard on sucks like a 2 dollar whore on military pay day. when people actually tell them specifics instead of just blasting their moms they ignore it if it didnt come from someone they know. the NFL gave them the exclusive liscense and they have been careful with their brand inthe past, but this time they have screwed the pooch.

EA doesnt care what the hard core gamer wants becasue they dont have too. Pasta Padre wants slow speed? fine give it to him becasue he is putting out bad reviews. and you know why they listen to him? he can effect their $$, we cannot. I am not some 2k fan boy, in fact i hated 2k and i never understood the big deal about it. if they were so bad ass why did they stop making a game? dont say the liscense becasue if that game was as good as you dick riders say it was the players name wouldnt matter and the NFL would take notice.

one day some pissed off fan is gonna lose it and someone at EA is gonna get their ass kicked, and i dont mean in a verbal way. if you keep pissing out the window and not looking your eventually gonna hit some one who will try to stop you. fuck you Ian and all your peeps for the hype you created and the lies you told. and fuck you again for this broken half assed joke of a game you created.

1. CPU AI is a complete joke.
2. Adaptive AI is broken, or doesn't exist.
3. HB Flats/Screen passes are way too effective.
4. CPU teams blitz far too often, allowing the user to complete passes at will.
5. Offline franchise freezes up during games.
6. Too many interceptions being returned for touchdowns, CPU and human.
7. CPU run game is non existent, even with human sliders set at 0.
8. Sliders completely blow. They're about as effective as Drew Brees after the 3rd quarter.
9. The community day guys who ''tested'' the game, need to be beaten with a rubber hose.

The real problem with Madden is assholes like this guy, who are content with playing the same flawed garbage that we get every year. Be glad some of us do complain, because maybe some of the shit will get fixed via patch. You probably pop in the game and hit a 40 yard screen pass, and think to yourself ''Damn, I'm getting better every year.''

I think there are two extremes people go to that actually have the same effect on how developers process what is written in message boards such as these. Saying this game is perfect with no room for improvement is as ridiculous as saying it's unplayable and broken.

Madden was straight to me till they went and turned on the Snail setting online. No doubt with the speed, or lack thereof, at that pace everything is glorified and becomes quite noticeable. Almost wanted to quit a game last night cause of how frustrated I was that my guys could never react like they used to to a simple screen and pass to the flats.

Thats funny because last year the screen pass was a joke, either the lineman wouldn't extend out far enough to block or the QB would throw a pass that made the RB come back to the ball and get tackled for a loss. I never had or seen one work in last year's game. This year I'm proud to see it work (though way too effective at times) but its needed to fight back all the zone whores.

Indeed, I mean I'm glad it works but damn its like an automatic 6+yds if you got a speedy back catching the ball. I don't mind someone throwing it in there a couple times ago, but to basically run it as a damn base set is lame as hell.

Man this thread is really insane SteelJake. I can understand there are some issues but it's not the end of the world. This game is still vastly improved from prior years. Graphically and game play wise, this game is on a level that is beyond my dreams. Take this into consideration, you where playing TECMOBowl about 25 years ago -- nuff said.

Though this game, to me at least, is better than previous Maddens, it is still flawed. The Extra Point is a joke, the cpu still makes some dumbass decisions. If I wanted to, I could exploit the CPU by running about 6 plays only. I don't want to be able to do that. I want the cpu to make in game adjustments, like if I'm running outside well, shift those linebackers wide and have the safeties cheat.


The one thing I hate about this game is how people are justifying it. Yes its better than previous Maddens, but after that initial video all those years ago, to think that we've only now made it this far, its comical. This game should've been Madden 08, Madden 10 should have a half time show that makes 2k5 look like nothing. The CPU should be able to successfully realize what is and isn't working and adjust accordingly.
