Madden needs better line play, timing based passing, better run blocking, and better AI in general.
the real problem with madden...

After getting some info from Adem, it's nice knowing at least they will be aware of the major issues that really hurt the game this year. Whether or not they put as much effort into fixing them, as Adem did with his research, is still a question mark.
There's about five things, to me, that if they patch, would make the game worth buying. But yeah, they seriously need to start focusing on the gameplay/AI. We've been waiting how many years?
I wouldn't mind more effective sliders either.. I'm sitting here playing with my run D and pass reaction D set at 0 across the board, and I'm not seeing much difference. I honestly don't even know if half the sliders are even working.Comment

But what did he do wrong. He switched to the safety who for some reson spins a circle, and when he hitsticks hte guy he just slides off him.
And its not nitpicking it happens way too oftenLast edited by shag773; 08-25-2009, 07:12 AM.Comment

IMO people that say this game sucks are nitpicking and going into it looking for flaws. Are their flaws? Yes. But that comes with every game.
no, u would choose COD 4. the only reason u dont read people complaining about shitty shooters is because there are more then enough of them around to make you forget the shit games. With madden, its not like that. You have no choice but to find something to enjoy to force yourself into thinking its worth the 60 bucks u spent.
the game is shit....its a moderate improvement over the previous games and nowhere near where a 5 year old next gen game should be. FIVE FUCKING YEARS on next gen and this is what you accept
why, because we have so many devs and all those community managers here discussing games....
if your saying i am wrong then your :stupid:Comment

It wouldn't matter if somebody was trying to bring the lulz, or if they were the most upstanding citizen on earth. As long as OS has more traffic, that is all the company is concerned with. Which from a business stand point, makes 100% sense. Just like buying an exclusive license. I don't hold it against them because it's smart.
Ian Cummings and RAC have both spent a decent amount of time around VSN. They don't have thousands of posts and their own user group here ,like at OS and Pasta's site, but they still have been around.
If you think the only reason we are running VSN is to get madden devs to post on our site, then you're the one that is :stupid:Comment

I have no problem with this site not having a ''voice.'' Operation Sports does a shit job at having an actual community, but they do a good enough job with ''nitpicking.'' Too many people from this site are far too content with the game as is, and that wouldn't help improve it all. OS has threads galore pointing out just about every issue you can think of, most of which got covered by Adem.. and even I'm hopeful of a decent patch, because of it. Here at VSN, that wouldn't have happened, IMO.
I use OS if I want to have a voice about the game... I use VSN for everything else..
Whenever we point out legit issues here, we have some jackass telling us to stop nitpicking and enjoy the game, simply because that person, for some odd reason, can't beat the flawed AI. If you enjoy the game, you can still help point out certain issues... and if you enjoy the game so much, that you honestly think the game doesn't have any issues, you'd be wrong, but go enjoy it.
When a patch comes out and the game is improved - You're welcome.... from all of us nitpickers.Last edited by Nukleopatra; 08-25-2009, 03:45 PM.Comment

You do realize, in fact, that other people are allowed to have opinons....right?
Of course you don't, because your a typical loudmouth. Throw enough shit against the wall as hard as you can and something is bound to stick. You'll be sure to let everyone know when you shit pellet sticks, in order to commemorate the rare event.
Hyperbole is not a productive method of conversation. Just like the typical 8th grader, everything you say or see is the greatest ever or the worst ever. As a bitter person, you tend to opt for the worst ever.
Is the game flawed, yes. Adaptive Ai isn't sensitive enough (though, I've seen it turn on...it just takes forever). The CPU defensive playcalling is way too aggressive. The AI running game is relatively weak and they abandon it too early when it isn't working. Obviously the blocking glitches (untouched defenders) need to be addressed.
But, more to the point, I've dared to challenge an internet bully. Surely he will follow with the lulz.
Just remember; Dignity, always Dignity.
I'm eargerly awaiting your profanity laced comeback.Comment
