    CPU Receivers

So I'm late to the party, as I'm playing offline until I pack everything up, but how can you create a football game where the #1 receiver NEVER gets the ball for computer?

Someone link me to a thread (if one exists) about this. Chad Ochocinco had 0 catches vs. me, Terrell Owens 0, etc. while shitty slot receivers get all the work.

I looked at a few franchise reports on the site and noticed the same thing. In Lupe's game where Arizona threw for 400+ yards and 5 td's, Larry Fitzgerald had 2 or less catches.

Browns corners + Shawn Springs is not shut down. They simply do not look their way.

It varies for me. Sometimes the #1 receiver will get most of the balls and sometimes very few

I've yet to have a #1 WR have a big game against me. Slot receivers end the game with anywhere from 6-15 receptions(One game Wes Welker had like 18). Nothing to do with corners.

I've noticed it, too. I just played the 49ers, and Bruce (#1) had two catches for minimal gains. Josh Morgan had 6 catches (#2), Michael Crabtree had 7 (#3) and then the fullback and Frank Gore had three each.

Looking back on some of the games in my franchise (in my sig), most of the time the #1 receiver gets thrown to quite often. I don't know if its because of sliders or what, but that's what happens.

              That's strange.

In my game (Eagles) vs. the Steelers, Hines Ward had 13 catches. In my game vs. Houston, A. Johnson had 10.

I'm about to release my sliders (wanna work on them more). I don't get why this is happening to you Leonard.

Nope. #1 receivers hardly get the ball. I play the Pats. Randy Moss gets maybe 2-3 receptions. Welker gets fuckin 10+.

This has happened on more than one occasion against the Patriots.

The big thing is the speed threshold IMO. Make it 30 or lower.

CPU won't take advantage of the speed receivers unless you do.

IMO, the speed threshold is a huge, huge factor in the game. Versuz2 says it should be 0. I'm not sure I buy that, mine's at 25 right now.

I think speed is a big part of NFL football and should be accounted for.

I never understand why guys set their speed threshold at 75 and shit like that. If the cpu is stupid enough to assign a mediocre LB to my slot WR, they should pay - and vice-versa.

I set the Speed Threshhold to 43. But I play on Very Fast, so that might make a huge difference in who gets the ball.

I can tell finding a good set of sliders this year is essential with the speed ratings and what not. I think it's a good thing though, more things we can change, the better.

I now play on "very slow" after a thread at OS.

I'm still working on my sliders, to be honest.

Right now I'm getting scores that are a tad too high (though I play 15-min quarters acc. clock 25 second runoff).

Apparently - and I'm not saying they're right - "very slow" is the right speed to play this year because the animations kick in at the right time. I'm not saying that's true - still testing it.

"Very slow" offline plays a lot like "slow" online IMO.

In my franchise's first post, my Fast/Very Fast sliders are listed. I started out with Bill Harris's set, but I've already made many changes to make my game better. They work on Fast or Very Fast speed

Hester in the slot will do better than say a Calvin Johnson, no matter what the corner. I too have to force balls to the number 1.
