Which imo is not a good thing. Noone wants to play NFS's shitty attempt at a racing sim. Leave that to Forza/Gran Turismo and let me free roam looking for races in my riced out ass honda and run from cops.

I'd admit I was a NFS fan boy for the longest. But when Midnight Club came out, it was killing them and now Midnight Club is killing the NFS series.

got invited to my first invitational and took the lotus out on the nurburing and that's when I was really impressed.

in car driving is the shit. sense of speed is done really well. when you're in a pack, you really feel immersed in the action, like you're really racing. as opposed to being in 3rd person and feeling distant, if that makes any sense.

It's not the running away from cops shit that I love from most wanted, etc. but the game is fun.

this game is awesome. Doubt i'll buy it but I had fun on the demo. Feels so realistic.

the driving isn't quite as sim as you would find in GT or Forza but still sim enough to feel somewhat realistic but still arcady enough to keep it entertaining

Not as far as I've heard. It's all track racing. EA wanted to go in a "more sim driving experience" with this game.

The funny thing about this game is that while I'm pretty sure it's received very good reviews most of the gaming press are saying the game gets very old very quick. There is really no 'career mode'. It's just race after race. Which I guess is similar to Forza 2 if I recall correctly.

Rented it last night, slightly impressed with the graphics but I'm disappointed in the game play, looking forward to GT5 in hopes that racing games can still be good...

My suggestion to you would be to turn the Steering sensitivty down to almost 0. Also stick with the cockpit view and play for at least an hour....just trust me....

The guys from 1Up said they could never figure out the drift either and apparently the 'tutorial' doesn't give you much in the way of tips.

well for the most part it is common sense but feathering the throttle doesn't work on my ps controller like it should and its either full stop with the brakes or nothing at all, Ive managed to rack up some decent drifts but they were all by accident

played the demo last night and i didnt want to stop. I loved the demo. Game is fun. I love the sound and the cockpit view. I also love how they represent a clutch shift in this game. That slight delay in up shifting. And trying to downshift into a turn to slow down the car sounds like you would blow the engine and leave your gear box on the road
