I heard somewhere that best buy has this game for 40 bucks.

could be wrong though. definitely worth it for 40 bucks imo.

the career mode certainly isn't all that in depth but the fun factor (mostly in part to cockpit view) makes up for it.

I didn't say it was going to be shit. I said that if it was anything like Pro Street then it isn't worth the 60 bucks.

All good though. I got a modded 360 now and it is definitely worth the download.

Games not shit but, it is perplexing how the tier 4 cars are easier to drive than the tier 2's and I still can't get drift down, I mean I can win them but it looks like a semi-retarded chipmonk is driving the car as I pinball back and forth off the walls, The trick is to aim your wrecks right after the apex of the turn so you can maximize the points for passing those flasing cones...

Did you ever play the drift modes in previous versions of the games?

Drift was never hard at all. You have to have an idea of how a car steers in real life though I would think. Countersteer, oversteer, use your hand brake, etc. etc.

yea I loved the old drifts, I just wish I could change the button mapping, I would much rather my r2 be my handbrake and the x be my regular brake, I'll get the hang of it eventually maybe... I also don't like the fact that I can basically have any car (fully customized) I want (bottom 3 tiers) with barely 50% of the races complete, Maybe I'm just used to the cars having terrible resale value though...

Hm, I dunno. I just unlocked the tier 3 stuff and I'm still rocking my souped up Golf GTI. Races are getting tough though. Maybe it's time to invest in a new whip. lol

Alright so I fooled around with the steering sensitivity a bit yesterday and Ive got drifting down to an art now. First I tried it on 0% and could get the car to slide but had trouble getting a whole lot of angle out of it so I cranked it up to 7% and now the car slides like a dream. It also handles alot better in regular races so Thank you EA for another game that has to have adjusted sliders right out of the box....worthless ass publisher...
