All the players look shiny as hell

as for the gameplay

I think it's a big improvement from last year (not saying alot) . The X for shooting free throw thing HAS TO GO . Defense is better on this than 2k9 but again that's not saying much .

I would give the demo a 6/10

i think i remember you saying this is a whole new team working on live this year, and the game has improved drastically thats for sure.

Big step in the right direction, in a couple years this could rival the 2k series.

I'm liking what I see like I said before. HUGE improvement from last year. I think it's going to be a little bit more challenging for cheesers this year. I've had my share of wow moments and also the WTF moments, definitely more wow moments though. There must be a bug for the skin color in the Hangar. I thought Chris Paul was Jason Kidd when I first seem him, lol. Like I've been reading, playing with each player in the hangar feels totally different. Maneuvering around with Kobe and Lebron felt dead on, most of the did but them two stuck out the most to me. The graphics look good, but the player models look cartoonish in a way. I'm loving the presentation and the stat overlays. My biggest gripe would have to lack of On-Ball defense. Sometimes players just run right pass me and theres nothing I can do about it. Also I'm loving contested layups animations, but sometimes transition into that animation looks a little iffy sometimes. Another problem is my defense checking the wrong people sometimes after a score. I like how VC tied me up and stole the ball after I came down the court with Kobe and pump faked. I also just seen an illegal screen by DW, that's a pretty cool addition (Not sure if it was in 09 or not).

guys, the lighting in the Hangar is not a glitch. Consider where the light is coming from, and what kind of light it is. You guys are used to lighting in basketball games that's an artificial light (arena lighting). We have alot of natural lighting in the hangar (due to windows). You'll see different lighting in arenas too making players skin look lighter or darker (Utah light / Chicago dark)...

As for the defense, it really depends on who you're guarding. If it's a guy who is quick, stop playing up in his face. Gap him a bit and force him to shoot the jumper or run into you drawing a collision. You'll get the hang of it for sure, but I'm glad you guys can't play good d at the moment. Learning curve.

the defense is great but i just cant get used to blocking just pressing Y just doesnt feel right

This demo is taking so fricken long to download for me. Its only 700 mb, it should take like 10 minutes. I downloaded Lot Planet 2, which is like 2 gb in like 30 minutes.

Just finished playing through the demo. Lulz, this game is trash. All you need to do is do a spin move to the left and you can dunk all day. I was doing windmill jams with Carter over Pau and Bynum. IMO this is a step down for live. The player models looks horrible, why is everyone so shiny? Dude, even if there are windows in a gym, nobody becomes that light skinned.
