Fallout 3 Downloadable content no longer PC/360 exclusive

    IGN Link

September 17, 2009 - Bethesda finally revealed when PlayStation 3 owners can indulge themselves with extra Fallout 3 content. Fans, mark these dates below on your calendars:

    "Broken Steel" - September 24

"Operation: Anchorage" + "The Pitt" - October 1

"Point Lookout" + "Mothership Zeta" - October 8

Bethesda also noted a new update for the PlayStation 3 version of the game is now available for download, which "addresses a number of issues, including some optimizations" and adds trophy support for the DLC.
Good news for those of us who picked up the game only to find out that you couldn't do much after beating it.

Broken Steel and Point Lookout are definitely first-day DLs for sure.

broken steel is awesome cause of the cap increas to 30. They should have never capped the levels. I understand whythey did it, but why cator to people who want to cheese their level. People who play it str8 would have had more interest in playing longer if they able to level up past 20. At 20, there was no more incentive to fighting a band of tomb raiders cause it wasnt gonna get you anything

I totally agree with the level cap argument... more or less because I stupidly spoiled the ending(s) for myself a few months back thinking that I'd never get this game.

Now that I'm at level 5 going on 6, I was worried that when I did hit the cap, all I'd be doing is just collecting extra scrap and working toward the PS3 trophies then.

I thought this was old news. They've been talking about this for months. The first DLC was supposed to come out in July I think but it got delayed.

There should also be a GOTY edition coming out for both PS3 and 360 with ALL of the DLC from what I've heard.

Never heard about the DLC for the Playstation 3 until recently...

As for the GOTY Edition, it's supposedly $59.99 all together from what I heard; Individually, I think each piece of the DLC is supposed to be $9.99 or more.

Yup, so that would basically be half price for people that have been holding off.

              SAVE SAVE SAVE

I think there are trophies for levels 7, 14, and 20 one for being good, bad, and neutral for each level so you need to have a save file at 6, 13, and 19.

I had some saves for 6 and 19 but forgot about 13 so i dont think i'll ever get the other two level 14 trophies because im not playing to level up that many more times from six, not after im used to being a badass.

Yeah, I read up on those in the IGN guide.

Right now, I'm practically Jeebus with the amount of Good Karma I got... which sucks because I'd steal everything I could get my hands on if not for the limited amount of stuff I can carry.

So not hitting "X" whenever I see red text is a curse and a blessing I suppose.

Next playthorough I do, I'm shooting to become a royal bastard of the Wastes and if I should pick up "Point Lookout," everyone's gonna know me for erasing Megaton from the map... and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

I have only played a small part of the game, but I was able to find the first two on disc at clearance for $13.98....I almost picked it up. I decided against it, I'll wait for all three go on clearance at Target.

The first two are pretty shitty but that's a pretty good price for it. They retail at $19.

<= Came home from work expecting to see the first DLC (Broken Steel) available... it was not.

                      I are upset. :pissed:

EDIT: I am now less upset after finding that the DLC was there later on in the evening.

Liberty Prime will help those commie bastards learn the error of their ways.
