I think that's what the biggest problem is. Not that many people are going to want to risk money playing the game. I don't blame them.

I don't think we'll have a problem with trust issues. People will pay if they lose (I don't expect the money to be big per game, probably no more than $20/game)

But if it's only 5 people who are willing to do it, it doesn't make it worth it.

exactly. and if its a sim game, you know the losing person will find something wrong with the other persons game. might as well become a freestyle site too...

How about monthly tournaments where people throw in $5 or $10 with different stipulations? (Random teams, weak teams, etc) - get 16 people, winner gets $100 gift card to Best Buy (or store of their choice), runner up gets $50, 3rd place gets their money back.

You guys should have all got into a Online Franchise with each other.....that would have been fun. Entry fees and prizes.

You would have to make it Double Elimination though. People would get all bent about seedings and what not.

I think a Buffalo Bills Tourney would be cool....everyone has to use the Bills..... (example)

Like I said, I trust the guys that I've known from this site for the last 7 years. I know they'll have no problem throwing up $5 or $10 bucks for a tourney or paying if they lose a random game. It's been done before at the live tourney. Everyone threw up $30 and played a tourney for cash prizes/trophies and we followed the guidelines we used at the site. No one changed their style.

I think it can be done, but in moderation like monthly tournaments instead of daily games where more problems could come up.

I'd love to do a live tourney again but I'm not sure if guys will spend the cash to travel then pay for tourney entry fee to cover any expenses for the place we use.

mobb you could also incorporate the tracker. guys have to play a certain # of tracker games to be apart of the tourney. this will keep the tracker active and also keep people from just showing up when the tourney starts
