cant really tell from the video, u would have to see the replay. But if he caught it at the 1 and still carried into the end zone then its a safety. Looking at that video it looks like he caught the ball at the 1 and momentum took him into the end zone

Hmm. I would be interested in how this would be ruled in a real game. He had the ball on about the 1. But only had one foot out of the end zone. Do you have to have 2 feet on the field for it to be ruled a safety?

Why didn't you just run it out?

Player intercepts a pass with both feet inbounds in the field of play and his momentum carries him into his own end zone. Ball is put in play at spot of interception.

Pretty effed up that you lost because of it. Was this the final play of the game? Or did you lose by 2 points?

Momentum definitely carried me into the end zone, I tried to run out after I realized that it might be ruled a safety but the guy was right on me. Not the final play of the game, I lost by 1 point but the safety also gave my opponent the ball back with great field position which resulted in another 3 points for him. It was not a divisonal game or a playoff game otherwise I'd probably even ask for a re-do. I don't take games that seriously but why bother even playing if I didn't care a little bit.
