Just got the Game. Is it me or is this game HARD

play your position on defense and dont change players too much

Newcomers to the game should never play above the pro level.

Get a feel for it first.

And don't think about money plays - for the most part, they don't exist.

It does take a lot of playing to get used to it.

Rookie level is a really good start and simply trying to get used to the controls should be where you go.

Also, practice mode is your friend. I'm serious about this. When I first got NHL08 back in the day, I would spend sometimes 30 minutes each day in practice mode learning how to score and shot the puck good. Did a lot of 1 on 0 rushes, but then you can also add in other things like 2 on 1 and be the one to try and play defence. Another good way to learn since you'll get the same situation over again.
