Metroid Fans?

Metroid was supposed to be a big deal when it was released, but i never looked at the game. But now i see this trilogy game that includes metroid 1, 2 and 3.....IGN says its over 80 hrs of gameplay between the 3.

I never played any of these games and probably wouldnt care much about the first 2....but i am wondering if anyone here has played the 3rd game and tell me their thoughts

I'm just wondering if I should get this or hold on to what I have. I have all three of the original versions and have yet to play them. I'll get around to it eventually. Should I just sell the ones I have and buy this set?
