A few questions

For online play only, help me out here:

1) What is the difficulty you guys play on? Whatever it is for ranked games? That doesn't really help, since it doesn't tell you, but I'm guessing it's the level below Superstar?

2) Is there any type of cheese or style that's frowned upon?

3) What is the preferred period length? (Insert joke here)

I may start a tourney (PS3) and just looking to see what settings I should use.

1) Whatever ranked games are. Never in all my years of playing NHL have I set difficulty when playing online as far as I remember.

2) Yeah there's things people will label as cheese. There's certain glitches which provide high percentage scoring chances. A certain wrist shot is highly effective, constantly skating into the corner and trying one timers and such. Just like in Madden, there's things that can be abused, which is why NHL players prefer OTP since it's much more of a challenge to pull off things with all human skaters on the ice.

3) Online you can only set 5/10/20 I think, which sucks cause 7-8 would be ideal (which you can do offline)

As far as my eyes can tell ranked games are on pro level.
