    I know I just got the game, but NHL '10 may be the MOST REALISTIC Sports game ever!

    The Graphics are insane, and something about Gary Thorne's voice makes it like there is a real game going on. I can't wait until I'm actually good at the game.

    Also, can anyone help me out with the Slots on equipment? What's that all about?
    They added the ability to attach gear (goofy looking shit) to your player which add slots where you can apply stat boosts. Everything is unlockable either by achievement or purchase, your choice.

    I myself, will only use those online. Offline, I keep it real and use real gear with no boosts and have my play unlock XP points to boost my guy slowly over time.

    slots = boosts = hyper-skills
    Try playing around with the settings offline to suit how you want it to play. It's do-able to get your teammates useful as I just came off a 7-1 victory with just one goal coming from myself on a 5-3 PP.

    I personally prefer to have the settings be challenging because at the get go you are a low rated player, so really if you are scoring amongst the NHL league leaders, your game isn't hard enough IMO. Not even close.

      Heh. I actually have it set to increase the time it takes to recovery so line changes are dealt with more accurately.

      Smokin bowls comes in handy here....lol. But really you can multitask pretty easily when you end up on the bench. Step away to check on the food i'm making, take a dump, read iSpy on VSN....

      (p.s. you can just press B to trigger a line change if you get impatient)

          Fixed for you. And yes.
          All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

          "rammer" and "cummings"

          The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.
