OK all i knew was Vernon davis was 77 after the 2nd roster update i see he went to 85 ovr last week and now 87 OVR in roster update 5
Probably just improved his blocking. Which is something they should have done a long time ago. He's always been one of the best blockers in the league, but just barely figuring out how to run right routes and execute plays. Doesn't make sense since he was drafted to be a receiving threat. They had his blocking and strength ratings very very low which was pretty stupid. I think the fact that they bumped those up to about average made his ratings boost up real high like that.
nice to see some jag players go up, and also my boy coop
"From the time he hits the court, he plays at a competitive level that you rarely see," Popovich says. "He does the exact same things that Kobe (Bryant) does, that Michael Jordan did.
Vernon Davis had one good game and he went up 10 points???
Hes 87 OVR now
Davis deserves better than a 75 for sure, but maybe 87 is jumping the gun unless he has another game like that. He certainly has the potential to be the best TE in the NFL... we'll see.
I'm upset at the fact that the 49ers front 7 hasn't been touched... like, [/i]at all[/i], yet here they are allowing 66 yards rushing per game. That bugs the shit out of me because if ANYONE on the 49ers roster deserves a 12 point jump in two weeks, it's Aubreyu Franklin!

Well this is what people were asking for.
+1... people wanted something like NBA Live's roster system, so Donny decided... big changes weekly. I don't think he's consistently stuck with it, but I don't think it's POSSIBLE to match what NBA Live does in football. Football isn't so much about ups and downs, though they're there, it's about execution.

Yeah...87 for Davis is waaaay too high, but its the way the ratings system works...they need to fix it. Nate Clements should be back in the 90+range. Shawntae should at least be a 75 or something. Abrayo deserves some kind of ratings boost, but it probably won't ever happen. Ray McDonald is playing very good this year now that he's healthy, and Justin Smith is always good, but he won't ever get hooked up in the ratings. Manny Lawson isn't getting sacks, but he's solid against the run. I think they just need to adjust his strength rating.
