Money Plays

What are plays you guys use when you need a 1st down? Also include what playbook/formation it is in.

Depends on the team i'm using, the team their using, the coverage i see at the line, how far it is till the 1st down.

If i have a fast enough slot receiver i can get him open on most routes that go across the middle. They'll be covered a few times but unless the other team is expecting it every down you'll have success.

On 08 and 09 they were easy as fuck to find.

I don't think they're too many in this years.

The guys that are saying they're hard to find, or are none? You haven't looked at the simplest play in the game that guarantees at least a first down. Go to the west coast offense play book and run a HB Screen. The defense is spread so thin from the four wide receiver set. Setting up blocking is too easy.

If the opponent/CPU runs a blitz, it's over. Stay calm take the first step back and the second the half back breaks out of his block to go for the screen, tap the button. Usually I gain anywhere from 15-40+ yards with this play. The AI is so bad in this game, if you have Wide Receivers with good run blocking? TD every time.

In the Cowboys, and the Colts pb Shotgun 3 wide, QB Sonya Check, slot reciever is open quite often and it is good for 20+ yards.

I've scored several TD's with time expiring on this play...the slot reciever seems to slip past the safeties a lot
