I got this yesterday with Borderlands and got around to playing it tonight. I'm liking it so far. I made a Knight Templar I think is what it was called. Is that good? Bad? Does it even matter? I tried to gather some info from reading you two the past couple pages but you guys are way into it, lol.

not really. You will see that when you start to level up that its easy when u start....as u level up it begins to cost more and more souls to level up. Ive only beaten 3 bosses. The game is so dam deep that there is so much info to know.

kg, i got the sword. It looked up and the guy is on the ridge above the path. I had to enter the fog and go to the left to get to him. I also got by the big fat fuck in the open area. It took about 20 soul arrows, but he never even tried to attack me. He just stood there.

i lost 15000 souls because i got greedy. When i went back to get them i got killed again. im pissed!

Thanks, I was looking at the 1UP one earlier when I took a wrong turn in the first level and came face to face with a couple dragons, lol. I am going to check out the Wiki now, I love what I have played so far, very fun.

we need to coop for sure, I"m getting PISSED.

I don't wanna waste my stone of ephremeal eyes to come back to life but taking down bosses like Flamelurker just can't be done solo, so I need help.

The only place I can find people needing help on a boss is 4-2, which is hard as hell. So the rare time I finish it and get returned to life., I'll go to a level I need to beat, can't find anyone to help me since I'm too high level...and really high level people invade my game and rape me.

I lost like 30K souls last night and hucked my controller. I was livid. Spent like 4-5 hours getting returned to life twice, only to get punked within minutes.

(FYI, you can't return to the nexus when someone raids you. The areas get blocked off by fog.)

That fatty on 4-1 is bugged, he won't move outta that area so you can do that every time, though he only spawns for you once anyways..

lost another 14K souls on 4-1. Got to the crow on 4-1 and then went downstairs thru the wall u break and got ambushed by 2 skeletons who kicked my ass. Then never got my souls back cause i got killed early next time around. fucking annoying.
i really wish u didnt lose your souls, or maybe u just lost half of them. The game is so hard that it makes the risk almost not worth going on

but i decided to go take out the dragon on 1-2.
Have u read anything about the soul u get from him? its worth 10000 souls, but the wikis dont say anything about an upgrade. And since its the only one of these i dont know if i should save it

i also tried leaving a blue mark to help someone but i dont know if it even worked. I was in soul form and used the blue stone but it didnt leave any marking on the floor so i dont know it it even worked

i'm saving all the boss demon souls till i know for sure I don't want what they are for.


FYI in case you didn't know, if you go help someone as a phantom and die, you still retain the souls you earned while helping them. That's pretty much the "safe" way of earning souls.

this game is starting to really annoy me. The game is great...its fucking awesome except for 2 things.
1- its way too fucking hard
2- you get killed and lose the one thing that matters the most, the souls.

I could deal with #1 if i didnt lose all my souls everytime. But i usually die trying to get back to where i died to take the souls back, but then i die again and lose them forever. Its so fucking annoying cause all that effort to get to the end of a level and then it was all for nothing and u have to do it all over again. I cant level up because of this.

I understand their thinking behind this concept, but i dont like it and its not fun to play like this

its so fucking unbelievably awesome. Graphics, gameplay...the sheer depth in the RPG side of the game. The charecters and NPC's...the online intergration....all of it is just so so good.

There isnt much of a story, but enough to make you understand.....and as previously mentioned the difficulty with no option to adjust is troubling.

Its not that the guys you face are not beatable. But you spend 2 hours on a level and in a split second some dickhead fucks you up and your dead. So all the souls are lost...unless you make it back to where you died to collect them before you die again. But shit man, you just spent 2 hrs getting to that point and now have to do it all over again. Meaning kill all the same guys and hope you make it back to collect the souls.

Leveing up isnt easy. It costs more souls everytime so when you lose those souls in the game you are even more pissed because now you cant make your player level up so he is stronger.

i wont post how i got killed on 3-1 cause i dont want to spoil it. But its not like i got cheesed. I got surprised and didnt retreat. I wasnt thinking....and thats usually what gets me dead

indeed. it's such a thick game.

it's like, a fantasy setting with real world rules.


there's like pitfalls and tight walkways, misstep and you fall and die.

a solid axe to your back is gonna be hella hard and probably kill you.

combat requires patience, swing, block, pause, block, swing. like you really gotta take it step by step to ensure you don't get dinged.

i love the challenge tho...just want to beat it so bad even though of the difficulty.

as hard as it is, its also the thing that does make if entertaining. I am on edge the entire time i am playing. Just waiting for the next demon to jump out and get me.

this fucker that got me on 3-1 did exactly that.

the enemies continue to blow my mind. They look awesome
