GM Mode bug or something?

Kinda puzzled here.

I have the situation where after the free agency period and just before the final rosters are due I want to move some players around.

I mainly want to move 2 or 3 NHL 3rd and 4th liners down to the AHL (all of them are around 23 and under) and I want to call up about 3 or 4 AHL guys that are first liners there but they are all grinders.

I basically want to have my 4th line as a grind line while the rookies and young guys get expierence in the AHL.

Now my problem is I can't send anyone down right now because I have to call up players first. No problem but when I get to the call up screen I don't see any of the players I want to call up there. They appear on the roster but not on player move screen. Its not just one player its quite a few of them.

Does anyone know why this happends or is it a simply a bug?

Could it possibly be that if you call them up they would have to clear waivers?

Its not a clear-cut answer, but it may be a possibility so might help.

Its before the period when waivers take affect. The problem is most of the guys are 1 way so if I do it after there is a good chance the guys I am sending down are going to get snagged.

Its really really wierd. I'm not sure what it is.
