Anybody got any '07 Sliders? (PS2)

I've been playing this game again and can't find any sliders. I would make my own but I've never been so frustrated trying to find a good set as I am with this game. Momentum makes everything confusing.

    Thanks in advance.

        Esjay,

I thought I was the only person still playing NCAA 07 for the PS2. I'll send you my sliders the next time I get a chance. From memory, they are very similar to Sportsbuck's. I usually turn HFA off if I am the home team, but, for a challenge, I turn it on if I am the visiting team. I've had a very realistic dynasty after setting some recruiting/infraction ground rules...let me know if you are interested.

Senser I'd like to take a look at your sliders and rules as well, as I am in a western Michigan dynasty

I always liked the NCAA game, but to me it seemed like the blueprint was the same. You take a bad team, rebuild them into a powerhouse with 5-star behemoths, then you win the title. It didn't matter if you were coaching Texas or North Texas, you could always come up with a star-studded team.

In real life, I like watching Air Force and Northwestern, because they have to outsmart their opponents. I noticed that they can usually "scheme" their way to 20-30 points, but they have a lot of trouble on defense because they can't recruit athletes. Basically, they are always smaller than their opponents, and they have a lot of white guys on defense. So, I wanted to have a realistic dynasty that wasn't the same as building your typical juggernaut team. So here are the sliders and rules...

            Air Force Discipline:
            1st offense = season suspension

            Air Force In-season recruiting:
            Can only recruit 12 total stars (4 3-star recruits, 1 5-star & 2 3-stars, etc.)

            Air Force recruiting:
Can only recruit players less than 300 lbs.
Any recruit from Alaska can be edited to be a white player

            Air Force racial composition:
            QB must be white
Only 1 starting OL can be black
Only 1 starting WR/TE can be black
Only 1 starting HB/FB can be black
Only 1 starting DL can be black

So I am nearing the end of my third season, and its been baby steps. I run the wishbone on offense, and play a 4-3 on defense. I have some decent talent on offense. Most of it is in the O-line...you can get good sub-300 lb linemen still. There aren't that many white 'option' QB recruits, but sometimes you can find a two-star white 'athlete' recruit that fits the bill. My biggest need on offense is white HBs.

Defense is still tricky. I am 7-4 in my 3rd season, but I still get pulverized by a good Mountain West offense. I put a black guy at CB which is fine, and I can get by with white safeties, but its impossible to find decent white CBs. I've switched white safeties to CB (too slow), put white athletes at CB (too stupid), but nothing has worked. I am hoping to get a black CB from Alaska that I can edit to be white.

Sorry if this is too 'racist' for people, but its all in the spirit of realism and needing a challenge.

I think it's a fun idea, lol. I'm going to try your sliders out tonight and I'll let you know how it goes.

Senser can these rules be applied to western Michigan or can you think of something else?

You can apply the rules however you like. I think the In-Season recruiting is a bit too easy, so I would definitely recommend handicapping yourself in that area. I think too many linemen recruits are 6-7, 330 monsters, so you may want to limit yourself to sub-300 players. I don't know that much about Western Michigan's program...perhaps you could have a rule where you only recruit players from Michigan, Wisconsin, & Canada.

Personally I like taking different create a school programs and building them up through different ways... one school I took to the top using a Mike Leach attack, another a pro-style offense like you'd find at USC, and another to the top thanks to a dominating defense and a ball control offense.

I just recently finished dominating with one school that I modeled after Urban Meyer's offense, so I'm starting a new dynasty with a team that is based on the triple option like you would see at Navy or Georgia Tech.

                          Yo, a few questions:

1-Do any of y'all have fully named rosters for 07 I could download? Or '10, since I should finally be getting that, soon...

2-In my next dynasty, I think I'm going to run an I-Form attack. Probably use FIU. Triple-O/Run Heavy/Passing when I get a good QB. What do you think?

I picked up '10 on the PS2 a few days ago. It's got great gameplay, but the rosters are completely fucked. So many wide receivers in the 90's and a ton of 5 star receivers in recruiting. One year the highest tight end was a 2 star, same with offensive lineman.

                            Kind of kills the game.
