I miss historic teams...

While waiting for the 2nd patch to drop before starting a new 'chise, I really got to thinking how I miss the old versions of Madden where the historic teams were in the game.

I would love to have a GOAT tourney with 1 historic team for each club. A 32-team tourney to decide the best team of all-time would be pretty fun to run through. Instead, I am stuck playing exhibition games and testing sliders. Anybody with me? I mean I would love to take the '02 Bucs and go against the '72 Dolphins. Or the '85 Bears against the '99 Rams. I just think that would be a great way to add replay value. Plus, I would love if they included old equipment and helmets, etc. I would hate playing with Joe Namath and him having a modern day facemask.

Im pretty sure you can thank Jim Brown and others who have sued EA for this feature no longer being in the game.

Was definitely a badass feature when it was in back in the PS2/Xbox days. Same goes for the NCAA Football series as well.

I miss being able to throw over Linebackers and corners when theyre beat by 10 yards. And blocking that doesnt make football look like its played by retards.

historic teams are ftw. there used to be a group that made the teams in create a team and even named the players and you could get them in their ea locker on ps 2.
