what i never like about racing game career modes is that as you get further in the races just get longer and longer........it becomes a grind after a while.
that's where i basically lose interest and just race online. Maybe race here and there to get some money.
looks like the storefront this year makes it even easier to make quick dough if you can design or tune.Comment

the storefront is fucking bad ass. I managed to pick up a couple designs for some of the cars i've been awarded through career mode thus far.
seems like you can also get really good deals on cars that are placed on there for auction. very cool feature.Comment

well, that's not completely true actually. the game recommends you events to participate in as you progress through the game based on the cars you have in your garage it seems.
considering your cars get faster/stronger, it recommends you more challenging races that go on for more laps. you are free to choose your own "easier" races with less number of laps if you wish by going to event list.
ineveitably though, there will be races with a higher number of laps that you will have to complete if you want to complete the career mode.Comment

i dont remember if F2 had years in the career. It was basically just longer races as u advanced like jms said. i dont mind the endurance races, but i dont want those to be exclusive races as i progress and earn better cars.
online is really the best option for this type of game if you can get quality guys who want to race and not play smash up derby. that league they had at MM looked pretty tight and had a full schedule of racesComment

I like to do the same. Stack my garage with cars I've owned in real life and make changes to those cars as only I wish I could've when I was 19 years old. Fun stuff.
What you got against Pittsburgh, punk? lol It's actually a pretty cool city, I like it here. I just have to look past the many mullet-wearing hillbillies and hang out with the normal folks.Comment

Yup, still here. I haven't been gaming much since interest in The Show faded around here, but with Forza 3 out now and Modern Warfare 2 on the horizon, I thought it was time to check back in on the forums.

Hey guys. Haven't picked it up yet, but am curious if anyone took the plunge on the collector's edition?
I just found out today that I have enough hard drive space for the 2nd disc. (I still have the 20-gig HD ... errr 12 ... fuck you Microsoft).
NBA Live is installed to my hard drive, so I can't install Forza. Just don't have enough room, but I do for the second disc tracks.
Not gonna take the plunge on the 120-gig hard drive. Apparently, Microsoft is prepping a bigger one. I'd rather wait.My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000
