Exactly. How is it "comparing apples to apples" when one console has been out a year longer? MS lost over $3 BILLION just on the RROD problem alone.

If I were you, I'd wait 6 months to a year before selling your old ps3 to get a new one.
Let the new ones go through their break in period ... and buy the second or third batch.
If you have the original 60-gig PS3 that plays ps2 games natively, don't sell it period.

Correct me if I'm wrong Beer, but Dave, I think he was being sarcastic. He was basically saying "Who gives a fuck how much Sony has lost?" As long as they keep making games for it we'll be playing it.

The bottom line is that all consoles lose a ton of money for the first few years of existence. After a few price drops and cheaper developments costs they start recouping the money. MS has been showing a profit only in the past year, and, SHOCKER, they have a year head start.

maybe the reason why the ps3 has failed so miserably isnt because it launched a year later. maybe it was the horrible online setup....or the fail at launching its dashboard....or the lack of quality games....or maybe it was the ridiculously high price or the fact that non gamers arent spending 500 bucks on a blu ray player

its a long list of fail since the launch of this system that caused it to lose so much money and be 3rd in the next gen war.

the wii, which also launched a year later then the 360 has destroyed both systems.....so now i get to read someone post that its cause the wii is not the same as the 360 or ps3.

Second, I'm not angry. That was just a dumb post. This one is worse. I have all 3 systems. I play my 360 the most and it's my favorite of this generation, particularly as I haven't really made the jump to Blu-Ray. My Wii collects dust. But I still really enjoy my PS3 and am quite glad that I have it. It has a lot of great games that I've enjoyed, and it's nice to not have to pay for online.

Third, see above. I clearly have the foundation for that opinion as well. So please, just stop. You sound as stupid as you do bitchy. At the end of your whole little rant there, you basically just said "I have all 3 systems and don't like my PS3". Great, that's fine. Guess what, though? I was talking moreso exclusives. I'm not going to live in denial and say that all PS3 fans keep to themselves and withhold from bashing the 360. It just seems, to me (and yes, I am biased, but I wouldn't call myself a fanboy), that more 360 guys stomp into PS3 threads and rain on their parade.

No shit. No one questioned his facts, but considering who posted it, it's not that hard to put two and two together. In all my years lurking here and at MM, I don't think I've found a single post from him that criticized the 360/praised the PS3.

If you are saying that everyone who defended the PS3 in this thread is a fanboy, will you at least admit that you yourself are a fanboy?
