Only have experience with Turtle Beach ear force.

Decent sound quality. Other peoples voices are too bassy. USB powered.
Id get the entry level version or the expensive wireless version. The oensi n between dont seem to be worth the money.
Best reason to have a license.

This is a comparison with the AX720s, which is a step below the headphones I suggested (ax pros).

I don't understand why you guys are willing to deal with so many stinkin wires, when you can just get a BT Headset such as the Motorola 850, I have it and heard no complaints, or the Sony BT Headset. The only positive I see is that, now you don't have to worry about neighbors complaining about the audio.

I feel like I am missing something here.

Ah.......I figured out the missing piece. This is all 360 and PC talk. I have a PS3, thats why I couldn't figure out what you guys were discussing.

We arent talking about simply for communication. I play late at night, my children and wife are usually sleeping. They dont care for me to have my surround sound blaring the sounds of war in the middle of the night. These headphones are for surround sound + chat...and through all the testing I have PERSONALLY done, I can tell you there isnt a single pair of wireless headphones that come even close to a DECENT pair of wired ones in terms of audio quality. BTW, I use my AXPros on the 360 AND the PS3.

Hmm.......my neighbors are ok so far, and I don't have wife and kids. So thats what I am missing then

Anyway, I looked up all the headsets you guys are talking on amazon and they range from 150 to 170 bucks. Pretty cheap compared to retail store prices.

Arent you planning on getting a 360 again soon? You should try to find a pair that will work with both imo. I dont know much about those headphones so I cant say for sure.
