lastest ban wave list from Microsoft. So it turns out Microsoft can detect firmware. Looks like I just got to do another Walmart Swoop whenever I get the funds.
I have offically joined the...

Yup. That's why you keep one for online and one for pirating. Only games I really need for online is Madden (used to), MW2, and NBA 2K10 for ILL. Games like Forza, Borderlands, ME2, Batman: AA, etc. have no reason to be online anyway.Comment

MS can NOT detect firmware...it was a bad rip or pre-launch copy that got you banned.
c4eva, the main guy behind iXtreme, had this to say:
<+c4eva> fw itself not detectable
<+c4eva> suspect they are going hard on warez releases and incorrect use of abgx!
He also added the following:
<+c4eva> just to let you know that im looking into the current ban wave. I am currently running several brand new xboxs on live! These xboxs are in various configs. All are running ixtreme 1.61
<+c4eva> One is running original discs, another is running on xbl (no discs) , another is running a backup from my region!
<+c4eva> until tests are completed, no eta on liteon fw!
When we know more, YOU'LL no more, so please do not ask for updates!

I refer you again to the above comments from c4eva, the world's most expert authority on the hacking of the 360 and the creator of the iXtreme firmware. The firmware is not detectable.Comment

Yes, I know... Ive seen the comments from c4eva a thousand times on all the forums I go to. Doesnt change the fact that some people have been banned without even playing a burned game. You cant blame that on bad CRC or test copies.
I dont think that MS can SEE the FW you are running, but I DO think that when the xbox boots, the bios reports tampering. Making it so they can see its not functioning as its supposed to, so they know the FW isnt right.Comment

Just send it off to Mesquite, TX for repair. They'll send you back someone else's console anyway. They did it to me everytime (4x).

Of course the creator of the code is going to say their isn't a problem with the code. But he doesn't know what Microsoft is doing on their end, he only knows what he is doing with his code.Comment

So if Bill Gates, the world's most expert authority on Windows and creator of the OS, was to say that Windows 7 has no problems, would you take it at face value as well?
Of course the creator of the code is going to say their isn't a problem with the code. But he doesn't know what Microsoft is doing on their end, he only knows what he is doing with his code.
The creator of the firmware actually does know what he is doing and he has an array of development unit 360's running that decipher every request coming to the console over the Xbox live stream (just like the Matrix..lol). He has openly admitted where there were errors before and addressed them. Why would he not admit if there was an error in the code this time? He has no reason to lie since he does this for free. There is no money on the table, thus no reason to lie.Last edited by MrBill; 11-08-2009, 09:15 PM.Comment
