    yes, It's true

    if he's a B potential player, he won't get above a 89

    If he's a C potential player, he won't get above a 79

    D = 69

    Its really stupid. A guy at age 27 can post up back to back 2000 yd 15 td seasons and never advance past a 89.

      I don't think it's stupid,

      IMO it makes sense,

      sure, you can have an 89 rated player put up unrealistic stats in back to back years. but is he doing it because he's good enough or because you're trying to make him put up those stats.

      on top of that, there are certainly players who weren't as good as the stats would lead you to believe, it happens a lot more in college football, but sometimes the supporting cast can make players look better than they really are.

      You have to even it out somehow, or else everyone will eventually become a 95+ player.

      one option is to make it so when rookies come in they're terrible, and they have to wait until the progress to get better, but we all know this just isn't true.

      Other option, use the potential rating so people can come in like real rookies and be contributors from day 1.

      I think the potential is 100% on point, and one of the few principles (meaning, although it's integration in the game may be flawed in some areas, the idea in the first place.) that is perfect.
