I've been playing my PS3 a lot more lately, especially multiplayer. I have several friends that have the PS3 version and they also have all the maps so I could 'share' them.

I've argued that plenty of times. Sometimes I think people shit on Treyarch just because it's the cool thing to do and Infinity Ward is teh roxorz! . I enjoyed CoD3 and really had a blast with WaW.

OMG it didnt have current gunzzzzzzzzzzzz or martyrdom.

They were just mad it wasnt an exact cod4 clone and IW fanboys. W@W was pretty damn fun.

People didn't like WAW because it had shitty guns, a WW2 setting that has been done to death, and vehicles, not because it wasn't a COD4 clone or because they are IW fanboys.

Even then I dunno where you guys are getting the "a lot of people thought it sucked" from. It was in the Top 3 most played games on XBL for it's entire run with Halo 3 and COD4 and it still is. I didn't like it for reasons mentioned above and played COD4 instead but the majority did like it...

Trust me. Over at MM all people said was "This game sucks. The online blows. Treyarch is garbage." I agree that WWII had been played out at that point but they went in a decent direction with WaW and everything about the game was solid. I use to laugh because how could the online blow when Treyarch used all of the assets from CoD4?

And just to clarify, it wasn't so much the general populace that thought it sucked. Just the know-it-alls around the MM boards. I had plenty of friends that loved the game and like you sauid, TONS of people played it on Live.
