Sell me on NCAA10...

I'm going to post the same thing in the FIFA forum, NHL Forum, and NCAA Forum.

Christmas is coming up and my future mother in law is asking me for gift ideas...so I'm going to ask her to get me a game. I have it narrowed down to FIFA10, NHL10, or NCAA Football10.

I'm a strictly franchise guy. I never play online or against others so I'm looking for a realistic sim experience out of the game. From on the field/ice/pitch to the bones of a dynasty or franchise mode.

I was hoping some guys here could come in and give me the pros and cons of each based upon this so I could make a good choice as to what game to get. Talk about gameplay, the franchise stuff, upsides and downsides of the game, and any information on patches...and overall if the game is worth even asking for.....

Ok..go....Sell me on NCAA10.

Ill say to me that its better than Madden imo. Theres less bullshit and the crowds and commentary are much much better. Not to mention the lighting is kick ass the game looks gorgeous sometimes. The gameplay is imo much improved over NCAA 09 and i think plays better than M10. Blocking seems much better and theres less bull shit INTs from LB and DBs.

But in all honesty, if you have a choice between NHL 10 or Fifa, than i wouldnt even be thinking about NCAA 10 at all as a possible choice.

Yes, Online Dynasties are really awesome. You should really consider getting this game. The Dynasty mode offline is awesome, and there are 4 online dynasties on here that you could join. All being different types of dynasties in types of teams you can pick.

Plus there are rosters you can download from a guy on VSN.

That's all if you are 360.

Online Dynasty is huge. But if you cant find a good OD, then you would be better off going with the other 2.

Havent played NHL, but FIFA is amazing this year, and video game soccer plays out really well. I always highly recommend FIFA.

I got this game with some in-store credit last month and I traded it in a few weeks later. This game is shit. Don't even bother. Just buy NCAA 09 used, it's basically the exact same game.

If you love hockey, you must buy NHL 10.

Gameplay problems.....passing game has been reduced to slants and crosses with the occasion streak.. The computer sucks a nut still but occasional you get a decent game where no matter what you call on defense they fuck you. Playing offense is a joke vs the CPU.

Online dynasty is where the game is at right now.....no need for any other modes.

I really enjoyed Madden this year ( I know I'm in the minority with that ), but This game... Jesus Christ.

I really really liked NCAA 09, I could play that shit day in and day out. this game is so fast it's like watching squirrels on coke.

I'll say the thing that annoyed me by far more than anything in the game is the pursuit angles. They're absolutely perfect, to the point where a guy like Jeff Demps can't outrun a safety because the safety's pursuit angle is always so perfect he eventually runs you down.

even then, over pursuit is understandable, make it so I can cut back on them, but you can't even do that, because the pursuit angles are still so perfect they take the cutback lane away from you too.

I hated that game, I'm SOOOO happy I didn't buy it.

If you're a college football junkie, you should get NCAA. I don't think it's the best installment of the series or anything, but it does offer an upgrade over 09. At times it can be maddening, but maybe thats because I play on Heisman. There is the occasional "No F'ing Way You are Winning This Game" BS from the CPU, but that's every year. I'm a huge recruiting/personnel guy so I've been getting a lot of legs out of the dynasty mode.

I have FIFA and NHL and while they are both awesome multiplayer games, but since I'm a big recruiting and college football fan IRL I almost always pop NCAA in my PS3. Dynast mode always has me coming back.

I'd say FIFA and NHL are superior games, but with a good set of sliders it's really easy to get into a fun dynasty on NCAA.
