Facebook coming to PS3 in next update

Now I know you really already have access to Facebook on the PS3 with the web browser but this thing is more integrated and sounds damn cool. And it's not some separate entity like what the 360 is getting.

So, first Netflix and now Facebook. Good thing 360 still has Twitter and LastFM!

All of this stuff is pointless. What is the point of Facebook on a game console? Are people really going to sit down on their couch and fire up the 360 or PS3 and then go look at Facebook??

That's...what a computer is for...when I'm on my console, I want to play games.

last.fm is the only semi decent thing, and even that is fairly pointless since you can't use it in games.

Ok so I watched the firmware update video, and all they've done is made it so your facebook will update when you get trophies/download stuff, and updated the browser to display facebook better.


I'm more excited about the change to how the friends list is displayed
