Call of Duty 4 story mode sucks? Wtf are you smoking? That's easily one of the best story modes for first person shooters ever.

My list:
1. CoD4 - Story mode and online = best FPS ever
2. Halo 2 - The best Halo.
3. Quake 3 Arena - There's a reason this game is 8 years old and people are still winning money playing it.
4. NFL 2K5 - Best football game ever made... hands down! I'd update the roster myself with all that spare time.
5. Pokemon Silver - Favorite Pokemon game ever.

Counter Strike: Source, Sims 2, Need for Speed: Underground 2, Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition

Umm yeah, what was the main characters name, Soap or something like that? What exactly did he look like?

There were no real cut-scenes and you were just running around shooting people with no real story line.

I thought the CoD4 story mode was boring but it definitely had a storyline. The MP shits on it though..

Well of course it had a story line, er eh something about terrorist..........

I'm talking about real storylines like:

Mass Effect: where there are tons of cut-scenes and you always feel connected to the story

Metal Gear: same thing as MassEffect
Killzone
Halo
GTA4
Assasin's Creed
Alone in the Dark

Those type of games have real characters and a real story line that's always evolving and you miss a big part of the game when you dont pay attention to the stories of these games.

In COD:4, all it was was basically
"Terrorist did this, terrorist did that and we're gonna throw you in the middle of nowhere, just kill all the bad people. And after this mission we're just going to throw you around into another random place with no real explanations or involvement or reaction from your character"

It's hard for a game to have a good story line when your main character doesn't say a single word the whole game...................
