Windows Vista or 7

So my laptop died on me, It says I need the CD to restart it and no I cant restore it. I need a Vista or 7 CD anyone have one that I can borrow (willing to pay 10-15$)

I would just download an activated disc of Windows XP Pro w/SP3. It's way more reliable than Vista or 7.

If you have nero (or any CD burning software for that matter) you you burn the ISO file as a bootable disc if Im not mistaken.

This. I just pick to burn image, then select said .iso file, and whala.

Also, don't download any MS updates or you will get owned. Unless this is possible now, I'm not sure.

Where ever you got the vista file it should also have a product key with it and yes it should boot straight to the cd if your boot device priorities are set up correctly in the bios.
