Anyway yeah I'm pretty happy. Just thought I'd pass it on
Sweet, thanks. Im in the process of building a stick for my son but really didnt want to wait for LL or Akihabara to get JLFs in stock. Im partial to Seimitsu buttons though, so i hope they have what I want.

Below is a pic of my main stick. HRAP EX modded with Seitmitsu, and an octogon gate. (It comes with a JLF stock) Not really a fan of art on arcade sticks, plus I love the piano black finish.

I got used to the square gate, but still felt like it was holding me back a little. Once I switched to the octogate, it was like a different stick for me. I dont think Id ever want to use a square gate again...although having those corners on the gate was a HUGE help for Guile and Vega's Ultra.

Nice stick. It does make quite a bit of difference. Did you have issues getting the JLF into the SE? I was thinking about picking up an SE and modding it, but I hear there is some work involved in making it fit.

          I'm happy

The difference is amazing. The stick is nice and tight and responsive. Nice short throw. And the buttons feel much tighter too. I'm really glad I did this!
          That looks sick dude.

If you get the JLF-TP-8YT stick it's as simple as unscrewing the four screws holding down the mounting plate of the old stick assembly, disconnecting the little wire harness, putting the new stick assembly in place and screwing in the mounting bracket. It was all very easy, and swapping out the stick and buttons took me a total of about 30 minutes to do.

I think what you've heard about is some people have used other JLF's (I think the JLF-TP-8T and also Seimitsu sticks) and with those the PCB is on the opposite side so it takes some work to make it fit.

And I like this pic better :D
Sweet thats good to hear. My son will be very happy to hear that. I guess Ill just pick up an SE and order him some parts tomorrow. Im so happy theres good fighters coming out this year. Thats the only reason I can invest this kind of money into good arcade quality sticks.

SFIV, BlazBlue, KoF, Tekken, Marvel vs. Capcom II. Awesome year for fighting games.

I was debating either buying another HRAP (although the price shot up too) because the size/weight is friggin PERFECT or building one from scratch with some MDF, Oak and a PCB out of a fightpad. I guess Ill just pick up the SE. No idea WTF im going to do with these two fightpads now though lol.
