what is this game? never played it and always see people talk about it. is there a game it can be compared to just to give me an idea of what kind of game it is

It's basically a button masher with a great story, huge bosses and awesome set pieces.

that looks pretty badass. Reminds me of the gauntlet seven sorrows. That game was hella fun just running thru the levels beating the crap out of people. But i have to think GOW is better since people still rave about it to this day

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than that game. You should seriously look into the GoW Collection. It's like $37 on Amazon. It's the first two games remastered in 720p HD and has trophies.

god of war is a must play for all gamers. It is just one of those special games.......great story and Kratos is a bad ass. Game can be challenging also...unlike the cupcake games of this generation.

I agree. And it's probably the best PSP game I've played to date.

I can't believe they didn't port it to PS2 like they do with everything else.

A button masher cant possibly be the best game ever. I never could get into games that you fight the same enemies over and over again smashing buttons for crazy combos after I hit my mid teens. Games just got to repetitive IMO.

Maybe not the best game ever, but of course that is an individuals opinion.

FYI, Game Informer rated GoW1 #26 and GoW2 #82 in their Top 200 of All Time list.

I never played either one, and i was thinking i wanted to play through the first 2 before the third came out.

picked the collectors edition up a few hrs ago when i went and got a new SV cable for my 360. I didnt open it yet cause i might take it back and make a regrettable purchase instead (yes, i like inflatable chicks)
