    just got a ps3 from a friend

    plays dvds but i cant get it to play blue rays, i dont have ne games to try yet but ive been reading about this maxell lens cleaner will that do the trick? or am i shit out o luck?

      The Blue Ray reader is dead by the sound of it. You need to send it in and get it replaced for about $150.

                          OK, I have the same problem... I have to keep ejecting and injecting the disk over and over again until it reads, sometimes it reads and sometimes it doesn't. Do not send it to Sony, there is a fix...

                          The video I use when I do it, I know how to do it but I still have it open so I wont mess up...

                          - You are supposed to use a lens cleaner but I use water and it works fine.
