    small tv vs large tv

this is for people who have played on both small TV's and large TV's.....both being HD

i am curious about your opinion on the difference between playing on a small vs a large tv. What do you think is better to play on?

i always assumed playing on a huge TV would provide an advantage over smaller TV's being that everything is bigger and you could see things easier. But a friend of mine who is extremely good at MW2 says he plays on a 22 inch HD monitor and it is easier for him to see everything and that he sits real close to the screen.....i sit about 10 feet away from my 57 in and i can see things very well. But what i think of as very well might be shit compared to what i might see on a small hdtv

    anyways....your thoughts?

    I wonder that sometimes too.
I play on my 44" HDTV from about 6 feet away.
At times, I'm tempted to hook my ps3 up to my PC monitor just out of curiosity.

I have a small 20" LCD TV and I honestly hate playing on it. So I bought a 24" 1080P LCD Monitor and it's much better. We also have a 42" TV in the living room that is great to play on.

I have a 46"....While playing Modern Warfare, I often find it a pain in the ass because I actually have to move my eyes from side to side to see enemies. But thats the only game I have ever had that problem with. Every other game has been much much better than my 19".

Ive gotta 42' and a 22', I prefer my big tv for sports games and single players but I use my lil tv for shooters because it has a headphone jack and headphones somehow make me concentrate better... I use my lil one alot more now days since I figured out how to get the hd to work on it, Ive had this damn tv for a few years and just now figured out how to get the hd to come on, Im offically retarded....

i play on my 55" flatscreen plasma and sit about 5 feet away on the edge of my bed. if i sit 10 feet away on my couch i'm definitely not as good as i often just pass by campers and guys with good cover a lot more.

I have a friend who says it's much easier to snipe on a smaller screen.

Playing on my own 26" and my friends 55" TV, I always do better on the smaller TV. With a TV as large as 55 inches, I'm usually sitting a good ten feet away whereas with a smaller TV I'll be at most four feet away.

A lot of the time I find myself wanting to move up a couple feet and sit on the floor when I'm playing a FPS with a big TV.

I have to sit really far away when I play on a big tv. And I tend to play poorly when I sit further.

Sit closer and on the edge of my seat with a smaller tv is my preference.

I have a 52" and a 24". I prefer my 52" because I had that before I got my 24". I'm still a little more used to the 52" although I play on both. A friend of mine also said that playing on a small TV is better. It really depends on what you are accustomed to. I don't think that you can say that one is any better than the other.

                    Coming soon...

Bigger TV's are better for sports games, that's for sure. When I'm running my offense on 2k10 I can see open players and things developing then I would on the smaller screen.

Couldn't really tell you the difference for shooters, I never snipe, I just run around.

Smaller screen is better, IMO. I have a 60" and a 32", both HDTVs. With bigger screens, you normally have a setup where you sit further away. Smaller screens are more conducive for you being closer to the screen. I've always thought that closer you can get, the better experience you will have.

I played COD on my friends 60" the other day and I was sucking ass. It was just too much to focus on. My 27" is perfect for gaming.

Boobies look better on a big screen.
