I also forgot to add that Tiger 10 for the Wii kicks ass.
I see that quite a few people have Shadow Complex and other download games on their lists. I think we should have a separate list for those. Shadow Complex would definitely be my #1 but there were a lot of great download titles this year. I'm hooked on Pixel Junk Shooter right now.
Your #3 game of the year is a game that you haven't even played much? Odd. I mean, it's a great game and a good choice, I just would not personally put a game that I hadn't played as much as I had seen others play it in my top 10 (or 7, in your case).
My list is pretty simple...if I liked a game enough to beat it, it goes in the top 5. If I thought about completing it, and got distracted by the shiny pony...bottom 5.
I put 2 games that came out before 2009, but COD4 and RB2 dominated my console for a long time this year.
I think about the time i spent on the sports games listed and think about what a waste these games were. Like TW....for as great as it was it got old really fast....glad i didnt buy F3

I wasn't comparing myself to Wildcard. I honestly don't think I could compare myself to God.
1. Uncharted 2 - The most complete package of any game I played this year. Naughty Dog actually realizes that there are other color palettes out there besides what seems like the standard black, green, tan and brown. With a compelling story and a very well done multiplayer, I was left wanting more.
2. Modern Warfare 2 - Having never played a ton of CoD4 online, MW2 felt really fresh and I was hooked from the second I got online. Multiplayer has become frustrating with all the akimbo shotties and what not right now (unless they recently patched it...), but it's still incredibly fun. Single player was underwhelming, but not enough to take away from my enjoyment.
3. MLB '09 The Show - Still by far the best baseball game out there on the market. Although I'm not a big baseball fan, the game is incredibly fun and deep. Road to the Show is a fantastic mode and kept me busy for countless hours.
4. UFC 2009 - Great sports game that actually got me somewhat interested in MMA. The career mode was a little bland but I'm sure it will become more indepth as the series matures.
5. Killzone 2 - Guerrilla and Sony didn't disappoint graphically with KZ2, nearly living up to the trailer that blew us away four years ago at E3. Single player is solid, but a little repetitive (I find that's the case with most FPS single player campaigns). Online is good, but Infinity Ward still does it much better in Call of Duty.
6. Madden 10 - My first venture into NFL football on the PS3 was underwhelming. The gameplay was ok (I'm not a huge realism sports game guy), but franchise feels like it hasn't been changed for years. Considering that's where I spend most of my time, the game disappointed me.
I think that covers the new games from this year that I bought. Still looking to buy Batman (fucking Best Buy was sold out yesterday). I'll pick up Assassin's Creed at Gamestop used sometime down the road I suspect. Same for Borderlands and Dragon Age.
