lol @ brushing it off. It's called talking to a person and not screaming like a baby at them because something screwed up somewhere. I guess its the logical IT guy in me and not the crazed nut who just wants to play his games.

What ended up being the problem was my old credit card was never taken off the system (lazy employee as far as I understand) and when it tried to renew it there it jumped to my paypal account afterwards (because it failed on my credit card). Because of this my auto renew was off for paypal but not on the credit card but I couldn't see an auto renew option for it since I added the new way to pay.

I was also asked why I didn't want to renew it and I said because I only play a couple games on it and never play any games during the summer. He then said that it looks like my last activity on it was about a month ago and it makes sense. The whole call took 14mins which is crazy because it used to take me longer back in the day to activate windows.

    Leafs offseason training!

GOD DAMN YOU ASSASSIN'S CREED!!! Always ending these damn games when it gets really fucking interesting on Desmond's end. AC:R wasn't quite as interesting as AC2 or AC:B, but it was still really fun. The loved the whole thing with Ezio going back in Altaïr's memories, but the whole setting for this game was a little less stellar. Constantinople/Instanbul was a little blah compared to Rome/Italy in the previous games. But like I said before, the Ezio/Altaïr stuff was cool as well as the ending with those 2 and Desmond. Oh well, I'm officially caught up and definitely ready for AC3. Ready to see how this story ends.

Wasn't expecting to finish this game so early tonight. Still haven't decided between starting up Dead Space 1 or continuing ME3...hmm...

EDIT: Dead Space on the PS3 it is.

Was going to come here and say the same thing. It's so, so, SO good. And frustrating. And it sometimes makes me want to launch my 360 out of the window...but worth it. I love Rogue games. It makes me want to fire up The Binding of Isaac again and torture myself some more.

How far have you gotten? I keep getting fucked trying to open the shortcut to the Ice World. Can never seem to finish the Jungle World with a damn shotgun.

Spelunky. Just came out today. 2D platformer with Rogue qualities. Basically, the goal is to get as far as you can in the face of increasing difficulty, and collecting/spending money on shit to help you. You die, you start over from scratch, no money, no items. In this games case you can at least unlock some shortcuts to the later levels, but it takes at least 3 completions of the previous group of levels and certain qualifications.

A slightly less pretty version of Spelunky is free on PC. I downloaded it when Patrick Klepek started tweeting about it a week ago. The PC version doesn't have the co-op or deathmatch either.

The official site of Spelunky - the randomly-generated action adventure!

I only have about 20 tries in so far and the last 7 times or so have gotten destroyed on 1-4. Still getting used to the balance of when to take risks for loot/when to just rush through. Definitely need to master the mechanics and strategies more before making any real headway.

I have never really gotten into a roguelike before this, although I've always been interested in trying TBoI. Maybe its because I haven't gotten terribly far yet but I haven't found myself as frustrated as something like Super Meat Boy would make me, maybe it's the lack of any repetition with every run being unique, but I am just really really addicted so far.

When I watched the GiantBomb quick look they made deathmatch look pretty stupid, but I still think it has potential to be fun. I dunno about co-op with the ghost mechanic though lol.

I got sucked in and played about 6 hours today. Got to the Ice World which seems to be something of a feat from what I've seen of other people playing. You learn quickly when to risk for loot and when not to, but you also don't listen to that knowledge. I have been 1 hit killed by spikes with 6 health too many times to count because I got a little cocky. The Ice World though, is completely fucked. The bottom is a pit, and you slip and slide everywhere. Translation: one bad move and all of your progress is down the tubes.

I played some multiplayer with the girlfriend today too. It isn't awful, but it's like New Super Mario Bros. in that I constantly felt that we (or rather, she) was constantly getting in the other person's way. And when she would become a ghost, she was basically just there to make my life miserable.

And just after writing that, I went from the mines all the way through the ice world to the temple, AND unlocked the shortcut to the ice world. The temple is the world after the ice world, and even with 5 health I died literally 3 seconds after I started it

Well I'm impressed, I've made it to the jungle twice now in 30 games haha. I bet that maybe the majority of my deaths have come from stupid impatience and just dropping down to the next level without checking straight on to spikes.

At first I wasn't sure about the balance between currency and the usefulness of items but it seems it works out pretty well overall. There really isn't anything that doesn't aid in some way and their certainly isn't anything that makes the game terribly easier in any way.

Dropping down carelessly is definitely the #1 killer. If you can buy the cape, I would recommend you do so immediately. It is SUPER useful as it lets you float with the tap of the A button. Makes dropping down easier, and a lot of jumps easier in general. The climbing glove is pretty useful too, although sometimes I find the game makes me stick to a wall at the worst time possible.

So... the new games from the PS+ Summer Sale/Giveaways gave us PS+ members Pac-Man Championship Edition DX...

Now I've gone from wanting to clear all the table challenges and trophies to wanting to beat Bomber's fucking 5 Minute Time Attack Score on the Championship II table.

                            I'm at 1,004,420.

That asshole () is at 1,234,650.

I own or have owned most of the AAA Titles that have come out for PS3 since 2007-2008 but fucking Pac-Man still has me by the balls like has for years now.
