Finished up Arkham Asylum (lulz?) for the first time on Tuesday. I made it through about 60% of the story and my 360 took a crap. When I bought Arkham City I snagged the bundled with Asylum with it. Obviously it was an awesome game. Playing around with the challenges now, it's fun.... can't decide if I'm going to go back through and do the riddler challenges or not.

Next up I'll actually play Arkham City, which I was about a quarter of the way though and my first PS3 took a dump and I lost it

I'd recommend the Riddler challenges in AA. The trophies are just a time waste (once you get the maps) but the actual picture riddles are fun if you're a fan of the comics. Arkham City goes WAY overboard in the trophies department, sadly, and the atmosphere isn't quite the same, but I'd say it's the better of the two games overall. 2 and 3 man counters FTW!

I couldn't get into Rage. Felt the same way as you. There were some things I enjoyed about it but every time I thought I was getting into it, I found something I didn't like. I didn't get very far...probably didn't help that I bought it the same time I got Dark Souls.

Rage felt so bland to me. I also felt compelled to play through the entire thing but I honestly can't remember much about it. Co-op is fun though.

My only major complaint about Rage is the ending. I think they could have done better than the filler missions where they had you go back through places you cleared out previously as well.

There is supposedly an expansion (sequel?) called "The Scorchers" that id is working on.

I'm in the home stretch and it's getting harder and harder to keep playing. It's one of the weirder experiences I've had in a while. The shooting mechanics are fantastic and fun, and the enemy AI is cool (at least at first, no real surprises anymore), but it's so lame that you go to the same levels over and over for very arbitrary reasons. I agree Pad, I wish they just taken out all of the side mission shit and just made the game longer.

The shotgun is fun as shit though, as is the crossbow when you have dynamite bolts. I wish I had played the game on Hard or Nightmare there, because Normal is way to easy.

So i just loaded up Rayman Origins on Gaikai on my shitty PC at work...........holy shit does that work pretty fucking seamless. You dont even download anything. Just load java and play. I am fully convinced that in 10 years consoles will not exist anymore.

Well after beating SOCOM 4 and Harley Quinn's Revenge this week, today I fired up Alan Wake. Hopefully this weekend I can cross another game off the ol' backlog.

I keep starting Alan Wake with the mindset of "This will be the time I beat Alan Wake" and keep liking it but letting little, irritating shit get in my way. Maybe after I finish Rage I'll finally commit myself to it. And this time I'm not looking for the damn thermoses and that is that.

I will say it took a bit to get into Alan Wake but I ended up enjoying it quite a bit, but god damn after beating it the third time to unlock the achievements, I was so sick of it.

For all you "Xbox Live is so great and so much better than PS3" guys, I'd like to share our experience the other night, regarding the ONE thing that Live has that PS3 doesn't, party chat. While playing Syndicate with Brnt, Swarley and Med (STRIKE Team motherfuckers!) the other night we kept constantly getting booted from the party. It was annoying as fuck and seems to happen quite often. I remember it happening a lot during Borderlands sessions with my cousin and there was another game I played recently that it kept happening with? Trials I think? That shit gets really spotty quite often.

So yeah, party chat is fucking awesome youz guyz.

LBP Karting beta is pretty fun. If I do end up getting it it'll be for the splitscreen multiplayer, but I really like the online multiplayer aspect even more than the original games. Just automatic, instantaneous 8 players kart racing with nothing gimmicky to make it suck. If it maintains a decent community I can see it being pretty awesome with all the creative opportunities for people.

I would imagine the community will create amazing shit considering you will have fans from both LBP and MNR combining their efforts.
