And twigg I went to ign, giantbomb, and gamefaqs forums to see multiple threads complaining of framerate and slowdown from ps3 version. So thats why I think the problem arises on both consoles

Got this game called Krater for 4.99 on the Steam sale. Had my eye on it for a while but didn't want it for full price since it's reviews were not good (53 on Metacritic). I am enjoying it. It's like a mix of Dawn of War and Diablo and so far it's a lot of fun. Have to see if it continues to be as fun or if it gets repetitive...seems it might eventually.

Finished Bioshock 1 and 2 and am now completely stoked for Infinite. I Don't know why it took me so long to get on board with this series.

I started playing Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning after Christmas. There seems to be a ton of missions. I've put in about six hours, and I'm still doing things in the first village and surrounding area. The combat is OK. I've found that mixing up broadsword and dagger/faeblade attacks works well.

The one thing I really don't like is that there isn't a way to store items (at least not yet). I'm having to spend a few minutes after each quest to go through my inventory and prune items. Being able to store items would be useful considering the blacksmithing part of the game.

Everything is expensive as well. A basic healing potion costs about a third of my bankroll, and I dare not consider buying things from vendors yet.

you will get places to store items. i played as a mage and thought the combat was fantastic. if you are not feeling the combat it might be a rough go. the games story is weaker than most and the draw is the combat and exploration/loot....its a huge game though

Do I go with Skyrim or Borderlands 2 as the next game to play? I guess the first questions is whether or not I need to play the first Borderlands before 2. Really enjoying my new character in The Old Republic but looking to do something new.

There are ZERO framerate pr slowdown problems with the PS3 version. I played through all five episodes and never witnessed wither of those problems, and I've also never seen any mention of them wither ANYWHERE. Please feel free to post some links to prove otherwise though.

You haven't played the first Borderlands? For shame.

Maybe Skyrim if you're playing it on PC. Borderlands 2, otherwise, and you don't need to play the first to enjoy the second.

borderlands 2 is great and alot of fun, but skyrim has nearly anything you could want in an rpg.

i would go with skyrim if you never played either one

I have played all 5 episodes on PC, 2 of them on PS3, and seen all 5 episodes on 360, and I can definitively say that the 360 version is pretty poopy in the framerate department, particularly in episode 2 (it was by far the worst, the issues decreased with later episodes I felt). PS3 and PC looked exactly the same to me. I, too, cocked an eyebrow at Shoemaker's comment. But it's Brad Shoemaker. That guy makes questionable comments all the damn time. I will never forget last year's GOTY podcast where he basically did a whiny filibuster for Skyrim and just basically forced everyone to cave to it over Saints Row 3 because they just didn't want to argue anymore (even though Brad's argument was just to repeat "they finally got the formula right this time!" over and over and over).

I am on chapter 2 of Binary Domain and my impressions have been very different pretty much every step of the way. Initial impression was "LOL Gears of War rip-off" and then it was just shock at how insane the script and voice acting was, but then it started to all really get better. And the upgrade system is legitimately pretty cool for a 3PS. The only issue I still really have is that the shooting just doesn't have the same satisfying feel as Gears does.

Thank you both. I've got each on the 360, though. My gaming rig is currently used only for The Old Republic and RTS games only.

No big tittie mods on 360.
