It's a shame, because the game isn't bad, but the first third feels like a really great Flashback style/Prince of Persia style zombie game.

I went to newegg and added all those parts to the cart today and it came to with shipping $1,320. It really goes to show you the fluctuating prices of PC parts and the ability to snag the good deal here and there.

So, after reading about Gone Home...I bought it and "beat" it. It's a very interesting game. It looks nice and tells a story that is genuinely touching and feels pretty real. I'd recommend it, although not if you're picky about price points (it's 18 bucks even on sale right now for about 3 hours, at max, of play time).

I really wanna play it but I think I'm gonna hold off until a sale of some sort. I can't keep buying games when I have, by my count, 19 games I still have to beat/play.

I had the exact same outlook, and then broke down and got it when I realized it was only 3 hours. I then plowed right through it.

It's definitely not a game for everyone. But I can't honestly say it would put any kind of dent in your backlog reducing goal. It's a buy and beat.

I may be an idiot, but I can't find something on Microsofts site. My Live account is frozen (I never changed emails on it when I moved from Comcast to Verizon) and I submitted the form and still haven't heard back, after way more than 24 hours.

They give you a reference number, but that is what I can't find, the input section for it. What good is the number if I can't track anything?

I also think it's highly absurd when I gave them the last 4 digits of my CC and the name on it and they can't turn around in 24 hours and give it back to me. The card also has plenty of M$ points purchased on it too for downloads, so I don't see the problem.
