Just finished Jurassic Park. I liked the story, but it has some frustrating problems. The prompts are sometimes too small to make out within the small time window you have to press the button. There are also many dinosaur chase sequences where the game would hang for second or two and completely screw up your timing, and you end up dead because of it. Though I will say that some of these death scenes are worth screwing up on just to see how creative some of them are.

Makes sense, because I heard they went back to a similar control set to No Mercy as far as the control sticks go, and a few other things. It was about time for that, too. I still play No Mercy, and haven't touched another wrestling game for some time.Comment

so...Halo 4 is out next year[supposedly]
2009 - Halo:ODST
2010 - Halo:Reach
2011 - Halo:Combat Evolved Anniversary
2012 - Halo 4
is it just me, or did this series lose a lot of its Luster?

Reach was a nice change up and a good way for Bungie to go out as the main Halo developer. It just perfected things really, but did add the different trooper kits.
I wouldn't even count this years version. It has yet to become a full-fledged multiplayer experience (it is piggybacking off the Reach engine and if you buy the game, you can download the maps and play off the Reach disc, and it uses their rankings.) It is definitely cool to play the campaign with remastered graphics.
Halo 4 has a lot to make up for, however. It will also be interesting to see what new things 343 adds to the game, but I am not holding my breath and expecting a completely new experience.
And please note, I am not a Halo fan boy. I do enjoy playing the games but I've not played much online recently and this is the game I get frustrated with the most. I will be giving 343 a (somewhat) clean slate with this game.Comment

It all went downhill when they said "THIS IS THE FINAL BATTLE" then just made new characters and kept the exact same game.Comment

That too.....I understand not killing the character off, especially because Halo has developed an expanded universe with novels and other media. The "final battle" statement should not have been used.Comment

Yes it has. I was shocked at the lack of interest in Reach. People from MM played Halo 2 and 3 like it was their religion. People stopped playing Reach a few weeks after release, like it was any other hype train game.
And yeah, ODST was a huge disappointment. That game was just boring as hell. I definitely wouldn't consider it "open world" at all. It was more like it just had extremely wide corridors.Comment

PS3 owners suing EA over 1943
Back at E3, Sony took the stage and announced that Battlefield 1943 would be bundled exclusively on the Battlefield 3 Blu-ray for PlayStation 3. Then, months passed, Battlefield 3 came out without 1943, and everyone kind of forgot about it.
Everyone except the folks in the class action lawsuit from the law firm Edelson McGuire. BF3blog.com reports the suit alleges EA was "making a promise they could not, and never intended, to keep." BF3blog.com didn't report on the number of people involved in the class action suit.
Of course, since the release of Battlefield 3, EA has attempted to make amends by promising PS3 players DLC early, but PS3 players were already getting at least one DLC pack early
