I finally hooked up the Kinect and played Kinect Adventures. Set up was really easy. It's really easy to work up a sweat playing that shit. I wasn't that impressed with that game at least. The detection was just off. It's definitely far from one to one. It's a decent distraction though. No way I'll ever be able to play two players though because I have this abutment covering a a vent duct in my ceiling above and to the left of the center of the tv. I've already smacked it a few times with my hand and I can see me or someone else jumping into that thing head first and being seriously injured. I'll have to try some of the other games I have to see if the detection is any better. I also can't figure out how to turn the system on/off by voice. While on the dashboard I was able to command it to open and close the disc tray no problem though. Every time I said "Xbox, Off" it would just bring up the stupid Bing search.
I also have a question about all this Silent Hill shit coming out in February. I've heard the new game and some Vita exclusive are coming out, along with the HD collection. My main question is, why the fuck isn't SH1 part of the HD collection? I skipped this series and have heard really good things about it, but why on Earth would I want to try this shit out when I can't play the first game? I would honestly buy the HD collection in a heartbeat if it had the first three (or was it four?) games, but only 2 and 3? NO thanks.Comment

I remember 8 being really good but I think I was too young to really get the story when I beat it. Probably should go back and replay it. That being said FF7 is the best of all time.Comment

The only FF I had beat before starting this run at the FF series was FF7 and I loved it.I give rep not thanks

Personally, I thought FF7 turned into a mess, and is pretty overrated. But I recognize that it was a lot of people's first foray into RPGs, so I know that that opinion is not held by many.Comment

I think the limited edition consoles still do, but the standard ones don't.
Speaking of which, have you had any issues with the controllers randomly disconnecting? Both of mine kept doing it and I couldn't figure out what the issue was. Sometimes it seemed to happen when I would squeeze the controller hard during a tense situation but it wasn't consistent. I had to exchange both of them and I thought I was in the clear. I played through basically all of SR3 without any issues but had one of them start doing it again while playing Madden and NCAA recently. It's really pissing me off.Comment
