I don't see how the Wii U can exist (making a profit) with only Mario/Zelda game. Whether it's true or not about not having other games, that is the assumption by the public. That doesnt even include those who know nothing about video games. Perception will become reality. Wii managed because it got old/non gamers play Wii Sports and dumb motion games, it doesn't look to be working this time around.

Sonic is god awful after Sonic and Knuckles. Comix Zone came out when Disc based gaming was becoming popular, granted it had a great art style but can't stand the test of time especially with how fucking short that game was. Double Dragon could never make it today because it is a side scroller beat-em up. If they tried to change that it would get panned by critics and nostalgia gamers alike. Streets or Rage: See Double Dragon.

Mario is probably the most successful franchises of all time and other than a few games are universally praised by gamers and critics alike. Zelda: See Mario.

Never said die but they will never sniff Wii numbers in terms of home console sales, The Wii U will be luck to sell 30 million units.

Don't forget that Nintendo has sold about 35,000,000 3DS' at $199 a pop. The Wii U is not required to win against Sony or Microsoft, merely just be competitive.

I was a huge Genesis kid back in the day. I never even owned a SNES. But man, are you way off. You're of course entitled to your opinion but, Comix Zone, seriously?

I do think that it's pretty lame that Nintendo marches out the same franchises year after year, but it's because they areGREAT franchises. Franchises that gaming was basically built on. Plus it doesn't hurt that the games are usually excellent and the fun factor is through the roof.

I don't like a lot of the business decisions Nintendo has made recently. Their arrogance is pretty sickening considering how crappy the Wii U has sold. Reggie Fils Aime is a Grade A douche nozzle. But you can't deny that the games are just plain fun to play.
