Improved player progression. If a young player has a big season, he should improve, as should his Potential. I'm tired of playing well with young guys with D potential and not seeing them get any better.

Pass Interference. Have you guys EVER seen a pass interference called? Needs to be fixed asap.

QB Fumbles. Backwards passes are never called as fumbles.

QB Sacks. It's impossible to get a sack sometimes, the CPU QB always throws the ball away at the last second, even if he's half way to the turf.

I have seen some defensive PI called but its usually my own doing sometimes my DB will tackle the guy when the ball is in the air but thats only happened to me twice, other than that yea more PIs and OPIs

Thats the entire point of potential. Certains players have the ability to be so good and will never be any better. This won't be fixed because it's not broken...

            • Have real roster sizes. In an nfl season no team carries 10 healthy offensive lineman. They usually carry 7 or 8.

            • In the preseason and off-season i think it would be best to let teams sign as much players as they want (or 75 or 80, whatever the limit is in the NFL) and then before the regular season starts have teams cut down to 53.

            • Have computers trade between themselves. I know they will during the draft but i mean other than just that. If player X has 1 year left on his contract and he's not happy and team Y really needs the position he plays those two cpu teams should trade and then this should be reported on the extra point.

            Gameplay:
Get the ratings from 2K5 for things like aggressiveness, consistency, leadership that really shape what kinda players, players are. For example so often a CB like asante samuel will try to jump a route for an interception and often he'll make an interception but because of this he also gives up a lot of passes deep and can get beat on double moves. His aggressiveness should be in the 70's. Then you have a guy like Nnamdi Asomugha who pretty much just blankets his receiver all game not taking much if any chances and because of that he doesn't get beat as often but doesn't get as much INT's either. So ratings like these i think should be added that actually shape what kind of player they really are.

In NFL 2K5 you can pump to certain receivers. This should be in the game because this would have the same effect the vision cone had. You can manipulate the safety in order to get receiver X open. Would be amazing if they could add this.

One play in 2K5 i had both WR's running post patterns and when i dropped back i recognized the defense was in a cover 3. i pumped to my left WR and the safety went there and it left my right WR wide open. This also goes back to what i said previously for the aggressiveness rating. Aggressive safeties would go for the pump wanting an INT but safeties with a lower aggressiveness wouldn't go for the pump and stay disciplined.
Another one of those tendency ratings would be the scramble rating for QB's.

So was Tony Romo an A potential when he was signed as an undrafted free agent? I'm fully aware how potential works. If you play well with a young player with a low potential, he should get better. You can have a 65 rated QB with a D potential and throw for 4,000 yards a season and the highest he will ever be rated is like a 75. I'm not saying players potentials should just change for no reason, but if you have a young player, playing at a high level, he shouldnt be hindered by his start out potential.

Well i doubt they change it. It's exactly how they had it intended. I'm not really a fan. They had potential before it just was an exact rating that was hidden. So you would never know why your player wasn't getting any better. Now you do know why or why not.

I'm not a fan of potential at all in any sort of way. I think it should be taken out completely. Hidden or shown, both ways it should be taken out.

I think they should have players in phases. On the rise, peak, and then on the decline. When they are on the rise they can continue to get better based on performances and there is nothing stopping him. When he is at the peak of his career he can't get any better but he can't get any worse either. Then when he's on the decline he can only ever get worse stay at a certain overall til the end of his career. If he plays horrible then he'll decline a lot. If he plays just ok then he'll decline a little. If he plays outstanding then he should still be at the peak of his career. I hope thats not too confusing

both for madden and ncaa. I would like blocking assignment hot routes. instead of left triger showing you your play(unless you press up) buttons should appear over people in the box and you can either point out could be blockers or double guys. It gets really tiring to keep getting sacked by the same end only to shift blocking and then get hammered by the other now unblocked end. Manning and Romo youe see every week point out blitzers why can't we?

team blocking ratings- if a line has been together longer they should be better even if individually they are not that good. they know each others weakness and can cover it up...

Make Home Field Advantage actually mean something. Right now it means close to nothing except what uniform you wear.

Id like to see confusion at the line in terms of audibles. For example if you have a rookie WR/QB and you audible his route from a slant to a fade, have him run the wrong route more often than not (to discourage excessive hot routing). the younger the team / player the more likely the audible hot route is incorrect for the AWAY team. Im pretty sure this can be expanded on and would actually make HFA especially in the playoffs mean something.

Or maybe even in the middle of an audible the Center would snap the ball leading to a lot of confusion on the play (what route the player is running, etc) or maybe if the stadium is loud enough the audible not even registering like its not happening.

As epidemik mentioned, especially in domes, have the crowd going nuts. There's no reason during games, you can hear a pin drop b/c the fans are so dead.

                          JTRaines92's Madden 11 Wishlist

                          Offline Franchise:

                          - Injury Reserved: Add this so if a player gets hurt he would be removed from your "active roster" and moved to this list of players so you can add a player to the "active roster" to make it 53 players.

                          - Practice Squad: Add this so players that aren't good enough to play in the games yet so they can develop without being on the 53 man "active roster" but you can still have rights to them.

                          - Realistic Stats: If you like to simulate and sit back and manage your franchise like me there shouldn't be players with unbelievable stats. The way it is now is if you simulate a season there will be 4-7 HB's averaging 7+ YPC. That and 2-5 HB's rushing for 2000+ yards in a single season. There has only been 6 players do it in the history of the NFL and for 4 players to do it in one season is completely unrealistic.

                          - Clear CAP Penalties: This should be added so if you drop below the CAP you should be able to make the owner of the team pay the CAP so you can sign more players to help you win games so your team can get its own revenue.

                          - Training: This was always my favorite thing to do in franchise mode. It was in there but it was taken out for Madden 10 for reasons we would all like to know. Since this is out your players cannot progress throughout the season, you have to wait all season long for your players to progress. Please add this for Madden 11.

                          - Injury Workouts: This was the same as training, it was in and it was taken out for reasons unknown. This was a very useful feature that needs to be added back.

                          - More Coaches: You say you want a realistic game. In the NFL there are secondary coaches, offensive line coaches, etc. These should be added for a realistic game.

                          - Progression: If I have a 68 rated WR step up for an injured star and the 68 rated WR goes for over 1200 yards and 12 TD's he should have a huge overall improvement.

                          - Roster Requirements: This is not needed or it is needed to an extent. You shouldn't have to have 2 RG/LG. As long as you have 4 G's that should be enough. The requirement for G's would be 4 going by what I say, it shouldn't be a positional requirement. This was hard to put into words, hope y'all understand.

                          - Preseason: Make it useful, give us an 80 man roster to work with and make us cut it down to 53 by week one of the regular season. It is pretty much a useless process to go through to get to the regular season risking injuries for no reason.

                          - Retirement: Give us the option to talk players into coming back for one more year. Let us offer them things like a Super Bowl promise, playoff promise, etc.

                          - Preseason Training: This was in the old Maddens. Let us focus on certain players to work on during preseason. You would have to bring back training like I said earlier or Mini-Camp like in the old Maddens so it will be the same.

                          - Weather Effects: If it is raining the teams playing should run the ball more and if they do pass it the players would drop the ball often because the ball would be wet/slippery.

                          - Sidelines: Make the players that are shown over there players that are currently on the teams roster. Sometimes it shows the same model number 00. Your players not on the field should be shown over there.

                          - Jersey Numbers: If you draft/sign/create/edit a player and your team has retired/restricted numbers those should be blocked out and are unavailable to use.

                          - Substitutions: We should be able to pick the player we want to play in that formation. If we want a big bodies TE going across the middle in a 5 wide set we should be able to set that through our menus/options.

                          - Draft Classes: Randomize them again, I don't find it fun drafting the same players over and over again if I redo a franchise. Please randomize them.

                          Rosters:

                          - Weekly Roster Updates: We should have a roster update every week, I say release it on a Wednesday since there will never be a game on a Wednesday or release it on a day where there will never be a game that week if something happens and they play on a Wednesday. This would prevent you guys missing players who need an update. If you do it monthly or however it is done now a big list of players is created that needs an upgrade/decrease and you don't get all of them.

                          - Injury Reserve: This would help you guys a lot, it would help the at home roster makers as well. If there are players that are on injury reserve you/we can put them there and put the player that the team signed and use them. Right now there are several players on the FA list that are on teams because of injuries and we/you can't put them on there because there isn't room on the roster. If this was added it would make us have a realistic roster.

                          - Practice Squads: Same as above, sometimes players are brought up and there isn't room on the roster because of injuries so you guys put them in the FA pool.

                          Online:

                          - 11 Man Co-Op: Let us have an 11 man co-op where one person plays an individual position like in NBA Live. I had Live and my buddies and I would run these things for hours. It is very fun. I realize people wouldn't want to be an offensive lineman but that's something you have to deal with. Keep stats on how you do at each position also.

I will update this as I think of more...

I agree with this whole list.

Also, I think that Potential should be done away with. Player's should progress based upon their performance in the season.

Thanks. I have always thought progression/regression should be based on performance in all sports games.

When have you ever seen 4 RB's rush for 2000 yards? I havent.

You can clear cap penalties in Madden 10.

You can coax a player out of retirement in Madden 10.

In rainy games receivers and your QB slip, and balls do not have the same accuracy.
