Disappointing, fir me at least. My buddy and I played this game for about five hours straight the other night. Head-to-head Jam plus alcohol is ridiculous fun. I was actually wondering if there was/was going to be a roster update after the trade deadline but his ps3 isn't hooked up online so we had no way of knowing. Now I do.
Oh well, the game is still a blast.Comment

its horseshit they arent updating the rosters. thats the least they can do when they charge 49.99 for the game. EA is so fuckin clueless and money hungry whores. They priced NBA jam way too high, it should have been a 20$ downloadable title and they should at least update the roster with all the big moves. This aint the fuckin sega genesis. theres no excuse.Comment

But it is fucking bullshit that they can't release ONE fucking roster update. How hard would it be to update it once after the trade deadline?!? They released at least one update for Madden Arcade so there is no excuse for this. It really dicks over the few people that did support the game and paid full price for it so of course now they probably aren't going to make that mistake again.Comment

I want to get this, but I have been waiting to find somewhere that has it on the cheap. Perfect party gameComment

While I will agree that they should continue to support it, I strongly disagree about the game being $20. I definitely think it was well worth $50. Hell, it was $50 back in the Genesis/SNES days and this game blows those games away with the tons of extra modes it has. EA fucked up by initially saying it was going to be a downloadable title, albeit a very stripped down version, so now of course everyone thinks it's a huge rip off.

If you are going to say this game isn't worth full price you can argue that most games aren't worth full price, which I wouldn't disagree with. But this game is $10 less than full price.
I know I got my $50 worth out of it and then some and whenever I go over my buddy's or they come over my house that's the one game they want to play.Comment

How exactly? Was NBA Jam not a $50 game for Genesis/SNES? Which was FULL price back then. This game debuted at $10 less than full price for this generation. And this new version has what the old one did (which wasn't much really) plsu updated graphics and a TON more modes.

2) Who cares what it cost back in the day? Should they have released a retooled Sonic for the same price as it cost back when it was released?
3) You bitch more than ANYONE about the price of games, particularly XBLA games. NBA Jam might have a shitload of modes, but they're all the same. I'd rather pay $15 for something like Stacking that is original and clever than $50 for something that is worn out after the first 3 minutes. I am seriously baffled that you're willing to defend the $50 tag of NBA Jam.Comment
