I heard that they deduct the game from the players at the beginning of the game. So idk if this would be true but i think you might be able to put a players as a backup play a play then put him in as a starter.

there is a set number of plays necessary for a player to lose a contract.

Ya I have Chris Johnson and only use him three times a game a dont get deducted a contract

I was digging this, but can't take the disconnects and the fact that every time there is one my guys lose a contract day. Seriously, online play has been around for 8 years and EA can't it out figure.

Mostly likely has to do with your internet connection not EA

Highly unlikely as my connection never drops when playing other games online. Regardless, a drop in connection should not result in a loss of a contract day.
