Who pays the full price anymore...with all the sales of games now and gamefly........pfft.

AC2 went on sale at BestBuy 1 month after it came out for $39.99.

need for Speed was on sale, Left for Dead 2 I bought for $34.99.

NCAA 10 was worth my $65 beans.........no doubt

Here is another very simple reason. The price of video games has gone up. Here in Canada it is $69.99 for a new game, which I think is insane. It use to be $59.99 and it would come to under $65. Now you are looking at $75 for a new game. That to me has put a hole in things. Because honestly, for $75, the game better be damn well amazing. It is why I put off buying AC2 and madden so far. EVen EB games "used" copies at $64.99.

Which is why I only buy 2-3 games a year.

This year the only games on my radar are MLB09:The Show, Gran Turismo 5, and Skate 3


They've got 1 game on my purchase list, and possibly Madden. I enjoyed this years Madden, and last years as well.

Why is he an idiot? Because he thinks that Valve is making a mistake not making their games on PS3?

Now that the PS3 has a decent install base one could argue that L4D might actually do better on PS3. If Valve was able to offer free content on PS3 like they do on PC (unlike on 360) and there is also the ability to mod, who knows what would happen.

I know Valve is a very community oriented company so I find it off that they would "partner up" with MS just because it's "easier", whereas if they produced the game on PS3 they could get that same community following there. It's no secret that the community on the 360 is nothing compared to the PC. 360 players keep getting fucked with DLC and modding is not an option. I can't wait to see how much they try to charge us for the L4D2 DLC pack.

I would argue L4D would be better if it wasn't on consoles period.

Also I don't see anywhere where valve's partnered with microsoft. They just make games for their consoles because its easier.

The main problem like I already said is they would have to go out and get a team to just program for the PS3 just to port the game over which by the sounds of it is very difficult due to the engines they use. Maybe their next set of games have a better more console friendly engine but for now it doesn't.

He's an idiot because he thinks valve should put out more of their games on the PS3. The orange box failed so they won't be going back to it anytime soon. The orange box failing had nothing to do with microsoft btw. Get that out of your head.
