MLB 2k10 Hands On Preview

Potential with 2K10 this year? Lawl! The series is a fucking joke at this point and EVERY YEAR they say it has potential and 2K always claims its going to fix everything wrong with the previous entry. Right. IGN is doing a preview which is basically free PR and is full of bullshit comments intended to hype up the game. In reality, it's probably another piece of shit in the 2K series. Only thing that will save MLB 2K is starting from scratch and that won't happen till the next round of consoles.

They have actually already kinda started from scratch twice. 2k8 had a different developer than 2k7 but it was made in the same engine. The 2k8 developer bailed shortly after launch. For 2k9 the team that made NBA took over and used a whole new engine and started from scratch. IMO this is the year that 2k has to produce a good game. If they don't I think it will end the series since there were reports they were losing money on it.

Problem is SCEA is in 6th Gear wide open throttle while Sega is in 3rd gear exiting the turn

Guys, 2K9 was not really that bad. The reviewers probably never changed the sliders. Once you got the right sliders the game was pretty good.

Not to mention they switched developers like 1/2 way through development of the game. The same developer has worked this game all year. It is sure to be better.

I have never really found anything wrong with the 2K games. Good sliders can make a game good.
