LOL at people mentioning Double Dribble. That game was awful. Every player was money from half-court...but could only make about 50% of their dunk shots. And the hardest part of the game was making free throws. Ick.
Here are a few from my childhood...all from the C64.

Super Action Football, Super Action Baseball(Colecovision)
Dr. J vs. Larry Bird(Colecovision)
Touchdown Football(Atari 7800)
Joe Montana Football '93, '94(Sega Genesis)
Madden '93(Sega Genesis)
NFL GameDay(PSX)
I also loved those Coleco hand-helds from the early 80s(football, baseball, basketball).
Does anyone remember the football game with the vibrating field and the plastic men? My dad got me one of those when the Jets won the Super Bowl.Comment

My co-worker and I just went off on a discussion of old classic sports games. We seem to both recall baseball games being the best back in the NES days.
I thought I made a thread about this already but I can't find it. I'm seriously considering buying one of these...
[ame="http://www.amazon.com/FC3Plus-Multi-Video-System-Genesis-Factor/dp/B001LN9DZ8/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1328196596&sr=8-13"]Amazon.com: FC3Plus Multi Video Games System (Nes+Snes+Genesis+G Factor): Video Games[/ame]
Then I could order some classics like Baseball Stars from jjgames.com. I bought a Genesis and a bunch of games from a guy on Ebay last year and love it. But I would love to be able to play some old NES games as well.
Anyone have any experience with one of these all-in-one systems?Comment
