After playing the demo I think I'm going to buy this...well at least exchange my unopened copy of The Show for it. I really liked the first one and this game seems to improve on everything the first did. I love how you can destroy things basically anyway possible. For instance, there was a radar tower thing that is held up by three suspension cables. I ran into the cables with the blades of the helicopter I was piloting and sure enough they snapped and the tower came crashing down.

Isn't there always something wrong with those games? Disc only? Japanese versions? Etc?

The closer this game gets the more excited I am. Earlier this year I couldn't give two shits. After playing the demo I'm stoked. It also helps that I'm a sucker for sandbox games.

Where is that? The only chopper I found was at a settlement at the top of the hill near where you first start the demo. It doesn't have any weapons.

The amazing thing is that I still haven't even grasped the idea of latching two things together with the grappling hook. Once I figure that out I can't imagine how immensely fun the game will be. Attaching an enemy to an exploding barrel or moving vehicle would probably never get old.

as much as i hatred the first game, this one is pretty fun. seems much more polished then 1. The map looks huge, but i hope it isnt like Far Cry 2 where it all looked the same.

my problem at this point is i cant figure out what i am supposed to be doing other than causing chaos

That's seriously the main point. You are trying to basically overthrow the government by fucking everything up in your path. It's genius.

I have a feeling this game might be a sleeper hit, this years Red Faction.

I have the demo dl'd on both systems...guess I will try it today (before Selection show starts). Not sure if I will buy it day one, but from the sounds of it...I will pick this one up in the future; never bought the first one.

the demo (and from what i read, the game itself) is nothing more then blowing stuff up. I mean its fun, but its just roaming around shooting badguys and blowing stuff up. the demo gets repetitive.

i found that assault copter. Its in the upper left area of the map in a military base. i get in it with no problem but i get blown to shit before it gets 20 feet in the air

No chance. There will be all sorts of story missions and side missions. Hell, I know of one mission where you have to take out some radar tower by parachuting onto it from a jacked plane, planting C4 while battling dudes and then sky dive off of it while it blows up behind you while plummeting to the ground.
